@@laurendoe168 ---- I kept the keyboard layout in mind and thought, "Hey, don't tell me that I can't leave! In fact, I can execute a major exodus by clicking the Escape key." For someone with a crippling fear of computers while doing a double-major in literature many years ago, I was quite proud of myself earlier today --- especially after double-checking my suggestion, and having it applauded, by the computer whiz in my family. I guess there's always hope for technophobes like me...😉

Mel's Musings (using the answers to today's riddles): For all my dear friends at English Tests and Logical Reasoning. May they all be safe and healthy. 🦋 ❤ "Honesty is like a crystal egg," the old man said, leaning back in his easy chair. "If used incorrectly, it quickly shatters, leaving behind powdered riches and no yolk." The young man had walked in, still muddy from the harvest, and leaned against the unpainted wall, his eyes heavy with sleep, his brain thirsty for knowledge. Errant thoughts raced in his head like lightning, slicing the darkness of his exhausted mind with no forgiveness for toil or trouble. "Granddad, why are you still awake?" His voice had the gravity of the ages. He wasn't like his friend, the boy who had survived a plane crash, the kid who had money for a fancy machine with a keyboard and plenty of time for both. No, he worked his grandfather's land with pride, had soil in his veins, and carried his family's history in his heart every time he walked through town. He knew he had inherited honour.
