He claimed he had to attend an important meeting in Manchester conveniently on the day Rangers were playing in the UEFA cup final and ran up a bill of nearly a grand on the company's credit card to go down for 2 nights and get pished and stay in a 5 star hotel in Cheshire the sly dog.

This is around the time I remember it started to get crap (early 2000's) especially when Watson did the characters on Offside which had started in the late 90's and was crap from the get go. Watson would continue to wheel out characters who hadn't been relevant for a decade and ignore then current faces in the game because he couldn't do decent impressions of them. But compared to today it's comedy gold. It's utter garbage now. Has been for around a decade.
