They will always be martyrs of New Zealand. I went to the Al-Nur Masjid to pay my respects last weekend. The proudest thing I have ever did. I felt God. As if God had a cloak to swaddle me in like a baby. And as I left the mosque, I felt an invisible hand on my back and the warmth of God surrounding me.

Im a muslim and definitely im saddened by this tragic event. However as a Muslim i cant deny what is taught in the Quran, which is no sin is beyond redemption as long as one repents to Allah swt as long as one still has his/her life. Allah is Most Frogiving and Most Merciful. So if one repents, and esp if the sins was done during the time of disbelieve, it is not true that one will be condemned to Hell. During the time of the Prophet pbuh, some companions who did not yet accept Islam killed other sahabis who were already muslims. Yet the Prophet pbuh never lost hope for their salvation and continued to spread the message of Islam. As a result, alhmdulillah those who were arch enemies of the faith became some of Islam's defenders such as Khalid al Waleed, Abu Sufyan, Hind and many others r.a. As much as we pray and emphatise for the victims and their family, we must not hide the teachings of the Quran. Allah knows best.
