I have just finished watching Only For Love and totally enjoyed it. It was pure entertainment without any underlining moral or social message … just love is illogical 👌 The scenarios of misunderstanding lead to a few really funny dialogues. Great micro expressions from the actors, especially Dylan Wang. I also learnt a few things about China’s media, her commercial and technical developments. A new fan from Australia.

Ugh, her friend gave the worst relationship advice. It’s no surprise though considering how toxic her own relationship was for the first half of the drama. Both her and Guan Ji were so immature, neither wanting to communicate with each other and just continuing the cycle of pain and resentment. Even after Shi Yan found out the Shuyi had lied to him to get close to him in the beginning, instead of encouraging Shuyi to fight for him and find every avenue to apologize and reassure him of her true feelings, her “friend” was encouraging her to just get together with Yi Yang instead. I’m like WTF?? Girl, part of this mess was because Shuyi too your crappy advice!!

I love this edit!!! It sums up the series quite well. As much as I like Bai Lu, her character in this series left a lot to be desired. She was so whiny and childish at times that it made me cringe. Didi did an amazing job in his role. He was so mature and loveable. Like who wouldn't fall in love with Shi Yan. At times I felt bad for Shi Yan when ZY acted dumb and hid from SY. And that annoying ex-boyfriend like omg he had to go away! With that said, this dragged on for 36 episodes and fast forwarded a lot. This series could have been a drama/romance in a mature way. Alas, I still love Dylan😻💘

One idea I liked most about Only For Love is how they took a typical conflict for the FL become the ML's feelings : -MLs are always expected to apologize when something goes wrong, but almost never the FL. In this cdrama, the ML expects the FL to apologize but she only focused on work (but she does care for their relationship). It's typical but almost atypical
