I would have mentioned Wike too, but to me, he has no reputation left again. This is because Obi needs Kano and/or Rivers (in large number), in addition to his last performance. The guest is saying that if Peter Obi fails to secure presidency in 2027 ,he shouldn't contest again.......That's his personal opinion
@michaelajewole8900Ай бұрын
The PDP members shouldnt allow Atiku or any other Northerners to pick anty other Presidential candidates contested within the party to say they themselves wanted to contest for the same Presidential candidates. This is a formular of strategy.

APC never won the last presidential election fairly, as long as Mahmood Yakubu is the chairman of Inec, the election of 2027 is already decided. It will amount to a waste of time for anyone to queue up to vote.

Peter should not go back to PDP. PDP is ruined Party, they want to use Peter Obi as a bait to bring PDP together but they will stain Peter Obi with the mess! PETER OBI MUST REMAIN IN THE LABOUR PARTY!
@jonpaul36047 ай бұрын
Let's be honest, Labour cannot win the presidency in the next upcoming election. Naija is not a western democracy, they vote in line with their tribal, religious beliefs and other local factors. His best chance to win the next election is to return to PDP and he could still lose. This is not rocket science. I mean in the future, another party might do it. Obi cannot win the presidency with Labour. Go to the villages and talk to the elders, Obi can win urban cities as we saw in the last election. I am afraid, that's not enough to win the presidency. Labour lacks the infrastructure to do this right now

Peter Obi won the 2023 presential election but was denied .Why was the BVAS turned off? That is a clear indication that Obi won the election.

@@jonpaul3604Obi won the last election but for the manipulation of the system. You sound like yourself is a victim of bigotry. The locals also voted for Obi but it was rigged. Till this moment, a year after election the IREV cannot furnish the nation with clear data on how the election was won and lost. Tinubu is ruling based on the supreme Court judgement, not the inec IREV.

Atiku's assurance to Peter Obi is entirely vague because when he ran as the candidate by manipulation of the process the idea then was top zone the presidency to the south without specifying whether it is southwest or southeast and he declined completely. The reason why Wike supported Tinubu was because all the governors in the south had agreed and demanded that option jointly and some of the governors betrayed that agreement. For Atiku to now being assuring Peter Obi that he would support him if his party zone the presidency to the southeast, he is already conceiving another idea that would through his party into a chaos in 2027. The reasoning being that he he is segmenting the zoning already. Should the party decide to pick a candidate in 2027 because the last election it was from the north, there is no clear evidence whether the party will consider as a sub zoning as Atiku is already suggesting. On the other hand there is no clear evidence of what Peter Obi is up to in 2027. Someone stepped down for him in 2023 in LP because he was less than one week old in the party when he was nominated. There were speculations that he might not have resigned from the PDP at the time. The guest is absolutely right, what the country is yearning for in terms of exclusivity is for a president to emerge from the Southeast and there is nothing that makes PDP an exclusive party to make the decision for a candidate for the Southeast. Peter Obi can remain in his present party and seek the support of Atiku which may not necessarily include his followers. Wike did exactly the same thing for Tinubu. Atiku already know that he cannot be the candidate of the party in 2027 as he has already had his chance twice. Therefore, in order to be still relevant in 2027 he has to start making some noise now. Did he forget Peter Obi in 2023 when they ran against each other? Politician just think they can fool the public and they can keep jumping from one political party to the other to win. Has Peter Obi forgotten that it was the Obidient movement that attracted the youths they were already fed up with the APC and PDP? What happens to the ideology the the LP was trying to identify itself with? As the guest has suggested The youths will be terribly upset with Peter Obi and he is bound to lose more than 50% of the youths in 2027. The youths are looking for change and if the current administration is able to fulfil some the needs of the youths by 2027 whatever moves Atiku and Peter Obi makes for 2027 will mot make a difference.

NO VALUE. SAME PDP WITH 16B DOLLARS ON POWER, NO SINGLE REFINERY WORKING. SHAME ON YOU
@smithjohnson42547 ай бұрын
This issue is very difficult to just dissect at one sitting. First the PDP must answer a question. Is the PDP interested in rescuing Nigeria by forming an alliance? An alliance that would have met two conditions. Rescue Nigeria and get power back. Or is the PDP just interested in satisfying one man's quest to be President by all means? For God sakes Atiku would be 81 years old in 2027. How do you begin to imagine an 81yrs old man running for President? Secondly if Atiku runs that would potentially break the agreement of rotation between North and South. Another angle to look at it from is. If it is a project to rescue Nigeria from the evil of APC can we then put aside certain conditions and form an alliance where Atiku would agree to make sure he does one term and Obi takes over? Certainly I don't trust Atiku to keep to any such promise. Secondly I foresee a breakdown in the relationship between Atiku and Obi if they are both elected on a joint ticket. Atiku will frustrate Obi's political ambition just to get a second term. I personally don't see Atiku as an honourable gentle man. Another angle is. Will the North allow Obi to run for two terms? Knowing that it will mean an extra four years to the South. Given what happened to President Musa Yar'adua that cut short the Norths eight years. Will the North agree to another Southern Presidency extension? Would Obi also agree to run for just one term and transfer power back to the North? Many questions. I do believe that there can be an agreement if both men can at least put aside ambition and think Nigeria.

The worst mistake Mr Peter Obi will do, is to join PDP to win presidential Election, because Atiku never agree for zoning before the last election
