I think Hero should be allowed Hocus Pocus, but not invincibility itself. It's really not fun to watch him win challenges that way. See if making himself smaller or something leads to more interesting wins than just running over lava.

I cannot stress enough how amazing of a franchise Xenoblade Chronicles is. I haven't played Xenoblade 3 yet, but both Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 are amazing experiences. Amazing characters, exciting & strategic combat systems, and SOO much replay-ability. Not to mention the story--the cutscenes are the kinds that leave you dazed with you jaw on the floor, and the games are like 60 hours long, easily double that if you're going for 100%. And the areas... the areas are so beautiful. I remember when I first reached an area called "Satorl Marsh" in Xenoblade 1 definitive edition at night, and literally just sat there for like 20 seconds, dazed by how amazing it looked. AND THE MUSIC!!! Holy spaghetti and meatballs, I haven't even gotten to the music yet. The music adds so much to the experience, and I've listened to the entire soundtrack on repeat almost as much as I've played the games theirselves. I will tell you though, Xenoblade 2 has a couple of flaws that detract from the experience a lot (RNG system for blades, most of the female characters are half naked, game does a horrible job of explaining the mechanics), but it's strengths are so great that it's an amazing experience regardless. And Xenoblade 1 definitive edition is exactly that but without those glaring flaws, it's easily one of my favorite games I've ever played, and I've played A LOT of games. So what should you take from this? Both Xenoblade games have an amazing value for their cost, honestly just from my opinion of the first 2 games I'd be willing to buy Xenoblade 3 if it was double the price. Both of the games are kinda anime, but honestly, I struggle to recommend any game more. ... And no, I didn't just forget Xenoblade X, I'll get around to it eventually lol

Fine with the whole banning invincibility thing seeing as it does take a lot of limited resources, but I do think it'd be neat to show something that prevents it at the end of stage creation for demonstration purposes.

I personally think banning invincibility isn't very reasonable. Hero is unique because of his menu, primarily counting on luck, it's basically his whole gimmick. Take that away from him and he might as well just be another fire emblem character.

That starting box is unreasonably effective. Their side-Bs are unique enough that they don't help much in most challenges, but manage to eliminate all but 9 of the entire roster. The angle of Mythra's projectile is also unusual such that only others that pass through obstacles or are affected by gravity would be able to hit that switch. The dummy switch might just be one of the most diabolical obstacles.

I think banning Hero invincibility is fair but you should definitely show an obstacle that hero can’t do since it is a thing he can do in the game and it wouldn’t really be a challenge no-one else can do otherwise

Okay, hear me out: a Sephiroth only challenge. Masamune gives him some of the longest melee range in the game and ignores walls, his recovery is pretty good and is infinite with wall piercing, shadow flare is one of the smallest projectiles in the game, and gigaflare is one of the largest. He can also get deceptively low to the ground using his down tilt. I think it could be pretty cool!

I've been asking for a Terry One and Only for a while now, but just now I actually came up with a tagline that can be in the thumbnail: "Are you OK? BUST-A WOLF!!" and show him beating the snot out of Wolf. Alternatively, it could just be a "Who Can Bust-a Wolf?" challenge where everyone takes a turn to dunk on Wolf by chucking projectiles or other characters to hit a switch and "dunk" him in a tank.

I personally feel Hero's invincibility is part of their character. They are supposed to be the RNG one who does impossible things. Like the comebacks people do with a lucky Command Selection. Banning it, is denying part of who they are. Also means it isn't a true One and Only. I do agree with all the other rules like no abusing Stage bugs, because this isn't part of the character. But then again this is just my personal opinion; no need to agree with me. You do you.

You never played xenoblade chronicles? Wow. Well here's your explanation, and of course: SPOILERS. In a game with heavy gnostic themes, Xenoblade 2 (where pyra and mythra are) takes place in a world covered by a cloud sea. In the cloud sea are several titans wandering around a colossal tree. All civilization lives on these titans, as all manner of people build cities, farm, and live on and even within these titans. Gramps (one of the stages you can play on) is actually one of the younger titans and thus has not fully matured, he can only really carry Rex and his home on his back. The game starts with Rex taking on a scuba mission to recover an ancient relic at the bottom of the cloud sea. This ancient relic is actually a ship from long Era passed that houses Pyra. After completing his mission, he accidentally awakens pyra, gets killed by those who hired him, and to bring him back to life Pyra gives him half of her life force in exchange for taking her to the top of the world tree and finding Elysium (aka paradise). Rex always wanted to find Elysium anyway, because the titans are beginning to die, and the land which people can live on is become more and more scarce, so he wants to find Elysium to find a place for everyone to live forever. So they go out on their quest, of course meeting plenty of friends, frenemies, and enemies along the way. I think all in all, if you sit through all the cut scenes and play through the story with a couple side quests here and there, it takes a total of about 60+ hours to complete.

I do think the challenges should be more about not touching lava instead of just not taking damage from it. That would make Hero have to use more than just invincibility to win, and Kirby can't just reset jumps with down special. I would still allow Corrin and Sephiroth to stab lava with their abilities that can, since they don't reset jumps or get free invincibility. I don't know how this would affect Wario's bike... I guess, since he's still touching the lava, it would disqualify him? However it works, I just think it would make challenges more interesting overall.

So in a nutshell the game is about a kid named Rex qwho goes out to do a quest for money then he gets killed by the rest of his group because he touch pyras sword and then pyra revives Rex then one of the group members didn't now they were going to kill him so then Nia decided to help them (also clarification pyra is a blade a blade is both a person and there weapon and a driver Rex who is the driver of pyra uses pyras sword so that's what pyra is) so latter they meet other characters (2 of the playable characters were against you) and eventually you get Mythra the true form of pyra due to things I'm not going to spoil you then more happens I'm not going to spoil you then they reach there destination and games over (well then there's two other dlc) so I both hope and don't hope you play it because I personally don't like it

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition in my opinion is one of the greatest games I've ever played both in story and gameplay. I'm actually on chapter 13 of new game plus right now. I have only played the beginning of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 but it did not have a good first impression to me. I'm not even out of the tutorial yet so my opinion may change, but right now I'm not impressed. I have not played Xenoblade 3 yet. Overall I would highly recommend playing the first game and if you liked it looking into the other two games.

A challenge only Peach/Daisy can win is actually incredibly easy since they have an ability that no other character can replicate: controlled floating. Just make a steep fall towards a warp inside a narrow lava passage that Peach/Daisy can float through, and have that warp lead to another immediate drop with a full screen open distance to the goal so that Sora can't recharge his spent side B from the first obstacle but Peach/Daisy can still travel across with their up B.

Hey, I've been a Peach main since Melee so I'm all for a challenge devoted to her, but a challenge that only Peach/Daisy can't do would likely be more structurally interesting, and even that wouldn't be too hard to make since they have several exploitable weaknesses like only one projectile tied to item-throwing range and an average-at-best run speed. As for Wario, he's probably the single easiest character to make a challenge only he can finish if you make a narrow steep ascending lava tunnel with a steep fall that lands on another lava passage that ascends in the opposite direction to the goal so that even Hero's Hocus Pocus Invincibility-Accelerattle combo can't finish it and only the Wario Bike can last long enough to complete it without touching the lava floor.
