Oh, sorry. Let me clarify. I thought of this name back in... uhhh.... I think 2004 for some site. I can't remember. Point being, I loved Yoshi's Island (you know, that SNES game - I can't tell how many times I've beat that game). Either way; because I was an uncreative young mind, I decided not to change the tradition - or lack there of. This is not truth, not even from the legal angle.If Tony is free to put the song into an album and play it live, it's because he owns the rights for the song.Tony wrote the whole music, arrangements, lyrics and vocal lines, how can you say the guy is making "a cover" of a musical piece that he fully composed? He's making A VERSION, that it's not far from "the original"
