Absolutely the best rendition of this beautiful song I've heard thus far. No extra flourishes in the voice or guitar, just honest, compassionate, clear beautiful singing/praise. Nice job, Chris. The words are out of this world. GBY

I watch your videos frequently, to learn or refresh hymns to sing at my church. Your playing is beautiful. You really make the guitar sing. Your vocals are also beautiful. Thank you for sharing your gift!

It's so much fun watching someone play guitar while singing without struggling with the fingers. "I'll know my song well before I start singing." Of course, that's no way to compose. Well, maybe it is: you just don't know you know it until you hear yourself singing a new song.

That's so funny....I didn't even know the song until someone asked me to record it! I really think I'll start using it now!

Chris Brunelle for sure! You played this like you'd been doing it forever. Love it. We use for communion 2 now and then and this year we used it on Good Friday, too, during veneration. This song and Prayer of Abandonment are two that just speak to the heart anytime, but especially at the end of Lent! ❤

It amazes me that there are wonderful songs in the music issue that have been there for years and I am just now discovering them! Then again, the other day someone told me they were learning David Haas' "You Are Mine" FOR THE FIRST TIME? That's like not knowing "On Eagle's Wings". :-)

So beautiful and well done Chris!! We are singing this today on the 5th Sunday of Lent. I was happy to find your recording of it to review and practice with along with the Responsorial and Acclamation for today's Mass. Thanks again for helping this musically challenged cantor through another week!! I find some of these quite difficult, since I can't read music!!

Start with one note, then go to the next. Like: FACE are the spaces, Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge are the lines, the set of them is the staff, the E is the top and bottom strings of the guitar. F is the bottom space and top line in the staff. C is the key of the staff, C is the note on a keyboard to the left of the pair of black keys. The white keys up from there make the C scale, C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C. The black key to the right of C is C#, which is also called D flat, since it is also a half step down from D. Adjacent keys regardless of color are all half steps apart. If you make the third note in the C scale an E flat, you turn the major scale into a minor scale. Hear the difference in mood.

Aloha Chris! I love all your videos. Thanks for this angle, I can clearly see the chords. We do have a subscription with OCP for our church songs but seeing how you play and change chords is very helpful. You are God's blessing to everybody.
