Narayan murthy was a communist in his youth. Got kicked and jailed by police officers in ussr while he was travelling in train, changed his Outlook on the surface level. Deep down he still has the communist dictator tendencies of crushing freedom and liberty. I don't know how Adam smith would see him eye to eye with him. A real capitalist would pay his employees for overtime, unlike narayan murthy, because contracts are to be respected. In a job the contract is that you give your time for money, it isn't that you give all your time for little money.

Please explain why IT is responsible for the downfall of the city? The role of IT is to generate revenues in the form of tax and distribute wealth in the form of wages. The industry has done both and has given birth to a host of other companies which have powered the wave of startups we’ve seen over the last 10-15 years. The only people at fault here are the corrupt bureaucrats and politicians who have not carried out their jobs with integrity.

So my guess is since Infosys is primarily an export company then due to things like ai being able to code at an unprecedented scale for a far cheaper price and round the clock then the only way to not go bankrupt is for employees to work more and round the clock. Since they don't have a moat, cause anyone can use ai to scale their code output , absolutely anyone can compete with them (even the small companies). Which makes their bankruptcy or decline nothing but inevitable.

True. Govts both state and central should stop running PSUs most of which are in loss, their services so poor and most employees there are useless and unproductive. Unfortunately, a significant amount of hard working private employees' tax money being spent on supporting these PSUs and govt employees who don't do any productive work. Govt should instead focus on development and bringing in more and more investments and start ups which can produce large number of jobs.

Most PSUs are on loss is a fact and other private players hesitates to come in a sectors where PSUs are operating which will significantly affect the employment opportunities as well as customer choices. And, I was mainly referring govt employees in administrative sector like village offices, municipalities who are doing repetitive jobs and most of them are really a pain in the @s$ for people approaching them (bribe, attitude issues etc). They are being paid a huge amount and incentives by govt just because they are part of unions and worth a vote bank making the real tax payers in the country looks stupid. Ofcourse some govt orgs like ISRO and DRDO are doing excellent job and that's worth it.

Capitalism is compassionate only till greed takes over, which in itself is a human trait. Also, capitalism in itself cannot thrive by being compassionate for a long period; you would have rivals who would take over by hook or by crook. Companies work for profit, they are not NGOs; so they focus on maximizing profits and establishing a monopoly. So, the only way one can become rich and successful is by aligning oneself with an organization that is growth-oriented and staying there till it contributes to one's growth. The moment you feel your personal growth is hampered, leave the organization and join a better organization and contribute to its growth. Don't attach emotions to your organization, for them you are just a resource, so for you also they are a resource to your self-growth. You can try entrepreneurship once you feel you've got a good base and provide opportunities to a set of newer individuals to maximize your profits and keep the cycle going. Keep things professional and stay loyal to your organization in your tenure; once you leave the organization just forget their culture and move on with the next organization.

An average CS/IS engineering graduate today, would've done 2 internships, 4-5 projects, so many problems on Leetcode, etc, hackathons, and what not... Don't give reasons for paying such heavily low salaries, which are far lesser than inflation.. The salaries are literally same from 10 years, that's pathetic! There's no concept of minimum wage in India.. That's the problem.. The same people u called underskilled, get a Master's abroad and earn 10x times more... First of all, if they are so underskilled, they won't be hired.. There's aptitude and technical round, in which they'll get filtered... And no graduate can be industry ready, no matter which college they graduate in... It takes time to learn industry level skills...

Narayan Murthy studied in IIT NIE Both set up by the Nehru government with a grant from the American government. This allowed them to subsidise it to a great extent so Bal Narayan could get his engineering degrees for the cost of a vada pav. Infosys gets land allotments from the government at 1/10th market rate MINIMUM in multiple States (Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal, Maharashtra, UP). Narayan travels in economy class and makes sure ALL HIS EMPLOYEES CAN SEE IT SO THEY DARE DEMAND BUSINESS CLASS. Narayan hates paying more than 2.4 lac to freshers who've paid 24 lac to get their BE from a private college (because socialism is bad so f*uck govt colleges). Narayan will SLAVE YOU TO DEATH A but tell you you aren't competitive enough and that compassionate capitalism is the answer, which means allot all the land to big businesses, so they can feed the impoverished out of a car, to make sure, of course, that the latter don't come for their throats when they realise that the land is actually theirs.

Infy should start 30 day notice period then start lecturing about free market, compassion etc etc. Sorry, government should bring a rule that company with more than 1000 employee can't employ more than 10% of their workforce with more than 4 weeks of notice period. India should not allow a legal slave trading firm by letting them to loot the youth and showcase patriotism.

If France vs India in 70's is his reason for changing his view, it's hard to agree with him. As we know today, and in 70-80's I don't think historians/economists looked into it as much, the effects of colonialism. So he is comparing France, which gained anything between 10-15trio USD by estimates done today, and India which lost 15-25trio due to British rule over last 200 years. So comparing India after 20 years of independence and France and concluding that only the impact of capitalism vs socialism is the reason of the difference is simply not right. People forget, between 1900-1950, India's GDP growth rate was almost zero, only 15 percent of Indians were literate, and life expectancy of Indians were around 30 years when the country became independent. It's like comparing a sick child with a young healthy adult, and saying their parents parenting methods are the only reason they are different. The socialist mindset definitely had flaws, but that also was behind the idea investing in education massively and make them accessible to most Indians (unlike in US where college education is extremely expensive and hence helps the already rich), and that educational infrastructure is benefitting India immensely.

"Compassionate Capitalism" is too good to be true!! It is more than enough if Capitalists discover the price, instead of inventing it, which is the basic principle of free market!! Regulators/Governments are there because this first principle of free market has not been consistently resepected by the Capitalists. History has been littered with innumerable instances of predatory practices!! Hence the need of increasing presence of governments!! No wonder Adam Smith wrote a lot about Human Ethics too!!!!

1. Is Modi a "WELL QUALIFIED" Leader for India? 2. Is "DEMOCRACY" a good model of governance for India ? 3. "Selfish, Power Hungry, Meritless people" biggest hurdle for nation's PROGRESS.. 4. "CHARACTER" of a nation result of CHARACTER of government. LET'S CHECK HIS LOGIC AND TENURE - 1. Modi runs country like a ”one man show.." Only Modi and Amit Shah occupies marketing space in news media 2. India has 1.4 billion population.. so don't we have enough leaders who knows good governance and politics? 3. People voted him for "NATIONAL role as a PRIME MINISTER" so instead of solving National problems using his LOGIC gifted by GOD why does he go for poll campaigns for state and muncipal elections..? 4. Does Modi understand his job description ? PRIME MINISTER is working as a "SALES AND MARKETING AGENT" during elections for his party and it shows he is incompetent in his duties.. 5. He promotes "one nation one election".. then why doesn't he promote "one nation-one team-one goal - one achievement.." why focusing more on elections rather than national development..? 6. He always talks about poverty but why doesn't he talk about "per capita income.." 7. Modi always takes pride in his HARDWORK and SACRIFICES.. but Does Modi understand that SUCCESS is measured by RESULTS and amount of changes you bring to society ? 8. Majority population lives in metro cities so why doesn't he work on "town planning and development" to build world class infrastructure.. 9. Modi project himself as "world leader.." but what he knows about.. *World class standards *World class education *World class infrastructure.. 9. Modi talks about DEVELOPED India.. but why he never tells what and how he actually wants to develop India? 9. Above things shows Modi more interested in staying power and has selfish agenda and puts doubts on his qualifications, knowledge, leadership, sincerity.. POLLS AND ELECTIONS - 1. Unqualified leaders are results of unqualified voters.. 3. Voters are getting easily fooled by shrewd politicians who use shrewd strategies.. 4. So we need to upgrade and re design the election process too.. 5. Elections are used to gain Power and fulfill selfish interest and not for people's interest... SO DO WE NEED DEMOCRACY ? 1. Do we really need politics, Power games, drama.? 2. Why democracy limited to "voting" only? 3. Are "voters" and "Elected Leaders" well qualified to make good democratic decisions ? 4. Why only 10% population governing rest of 100% population? Because if people select 10% wrong leaders and if they loot public money..then it will be unfair for rest of 100 % population.. 5. Instead 90% should govern rest 100% population, so even if 90% people turns out to be wrong and if they loot money..then it won't be unfair.. 6. Instead of annual budget why government doesn't talk about annual results and achievements..? FOR INDIA TO SUCCEED WE NEED - 1. Right people 2. Right approach 3. Right plans SIMPLE LOGIC - 1. To make India DEVELOPED country hire developers 2. To make India PROSPEROUS country hire finance experts. 3. To make India TECH GIANT hire Technologist. 4. To make India TRULY DEMOCRATIC kick out all corrupt, uneducated and selfish politicians out of India, Government should be Pro people and not pro power. 5. Provide free Solar panels, E - Bicycles, Laptops to all.. (Energy+ Work+ knowledge) 6. Adopt digital education, digital economy, egovernance, new technologies. COMMITMENT - 1. Treat manifesto as BHAGAVT Gita 2. Do not fool or betray people 3. Development and politics can't go together so need different teams with different skillsets. PHILOSOPHY - ( Honesty +Sincerity +Selflessness) BETTER POLICY THAN.... ( politics + power+ money + games + scripted drama + match fixing + Hidden alliances.) RESULTS - Whichever ”policy" you use ultimately RESULTS matters... ( Time has come to UPGRADE and REDESIGN 75 years old Democracy Model.. so that only well qualified leaders will lead this country..) Indian constitution says सत्यमेव जयते.. So am I telling the truth..? *** share it everywhere if you agree.... let's educate people... and save our democracy...*** Sincere thoughts by Amit Pustake Who am I? (father of the nation) Mission - Wakeup & Educate India 1st battle(1947) - Independent India Next battle(2023) - Prosperous India.... GAME Begins... 🚩🚩🚩🚩

He is absolutely wrong in defining compassionate capitalism. It is not the job of the businesses to think about the poor. It is for the government to pursue the policy of compassionate capitalism and ensure that the businesses are not overly regulated, which in turn creates space & opportunity for corruption and crony capitalism. It is sheer stupidity to expect all businesses to be honest and transparent and compassionate, simply impractical and unpragmatic suggestion.

@@vidyaranyavijayapura1121 you know what else is in decline? Birth rates. If you look at Japan's work culture you'll know why. Have a look at their economy. If you think making people work for 14hrs a day will normalise the economy, then you are wrong because, it just so turns out to be that if you give people an opportunity to have a life/work balance then only economic prosperity comes with it. And also remember that, more hours does not necessarily equate to more/higher quality of work done. Above all, do not romanticize the words of CEOs and so called compassionate capitalists. It's all smoke and mirrors in the end. Narayan Murthy was working 14hrs to build his own empire, and not as an employee at someone else's office.
