This is actually a really well-produced and tightly composed dance-track from the mid-90's. That John's signature scatting riffs are placed strategically through make it really unique. That thick dance-beat percussion with heavy bass-line and syncopated piano really make this an underrated gem from the 90's. It's peppy. It's optimistic. It has a very good-natured vibe. I bought this cassette tape in 1995 because of "Scatman" that I heard on the radio and was everywhere, then was pleasantly surprised at how good the rest of the album was. Really great to jog to.

Love the trademark hat, also what I admire as a fellow musician is his very unique "Scat", singing voice, and use of cool synths and sound effects. He was and still is very unique and his voice is quite distinguishable.
