In my opinion, this is a part of what has degraded our society so badly. Telling women that by turning themselves into sexual objects, or being promiscuous, makes them "strong". This isn't empowering. This is devaluing women, and they don't even realize it. They will though, later on in life, when they realize that life is about more than money, or they want children and a family but not many men will want a wife that many other men have already "seen" or "had". It's also sad that this girl had to "overcome" the fear of what other people would think, but seems not to realize that very fear was her own deep rooted knowledge of what she shouldn't be doing.

I have friends who live in Malaysia and China and they tell me how their governments point to how western society increasingly rewards vanity, hedonism, and short-term validation in exchange for long-term degradation. Seeing the rise of OnlyFans, I can understand their perspective. However, it's when it's used by those governments to sell the idea that it's what their society will degenerate into if they become democratized and "westernized" but in reality, this is what happens when societies are subjected to subversive ideologies that intentionally vilify to slowly destroy and demoralize a society, in large part by dividing the sexes with outright lies and other carefully crafted forms of deception to convince one sex that they are being conspired against and harmed by the other. It has destroyed the family unit of western society and with that, we've been witnessing the domino effect of each pillar of western society being destroyed. OnlyFans is a byproduct and inevitable outcome of this decline we see western society on.

I dated a girl who, some months after we split, went on to become a stripper. I knew she had sexual trauma in her past early on and did all I could to get her help, especially when we were together. I was shocked when she told me that I was the only guy that even cared to listen and try to help her but seeing how many men objectify women on sites like OnlyFans, I'm no longer surprised I remember she would try to justify her occupation as being a positive aspect of her life but when I asked her if she would want her nieces, who she loved dearly, to follow in her footsteps by becoming strippers, without hesitation, she said no. I then said simply, now think of the reasons you wouldn't want that lifestyle for them, those are the same reasons it's not a good lifestyle for you. She knew I wasn't shaming or judging her, I cared for her deeply and like she was with her nieces, wanted the best for her, and still do. She knew what I was saying was the truth but it would take her having a kid before she left that world never to look back because her life decisions would have long-term ramifications for her daughter. The short term rewards of selling one's body are inevitably paid with the inescapable, negative, long-term consequences especially now that these consequences are made permanent with the internet.

Thanks for the life story but the situation you describe doesn't sound the same as that of the girl in this video. Emily seems to work in a safer environment and have a very different set-up to a typical stripper. Also, she's 25 and she's earning a six-figure income? She could buy her own home and be reasonably secure for the rest of her life after doing OnlyFans just for a year or two. You could argue she's being smart and making the most of what she has to make her life as good as possible. All of us who weren't born rich know it's a tough world to even survive in so why not. Maybe you're right about the person you were dating, but the fact you have decided her choices have led to 'inescapable, negative, long-term consequences' makes me think you were actually 100% judgemental of what she wanted to do.

@@kellyj817 Indeed, empowerment is not letting countless faceless, nameless people sexually objectify you regardless of the overall dynamic of the interaction because at it's core, it's still sexual objectification, scaled out for thousands to millions to see and partake. Empowerment starts with healing first and foremost. There is nothing more empowering than two people being completely open, body, mind, and soul to become one in intimacy and a relationship and union, not independence or co-dependence, but of interdependence, where both people facilitate the absolute best in each other, grow as individuals and as a union, sharing in happiness, with both being devoted to meet each other's 6 core needs instead doing so to simply fulfill their own needs. I can think of nothing more empowering in terms of love, sex, and intimacy.

She or anyone else doesn't know how this will affect OF models in 10, 15 or 20 years. We are a generation where stuff like Only fans is so new, that we don't know how the reputation or psyche is going to be future wise. Only thing we know for sure, is that pornstars usually grow older and regret it, destroyed mentally, or cant shake off the reputation. The thing she and any other OF model doesn't take into consideration, is that you keep growing as a person you whole life. And you don't know where you are or want to be in 15-20 years. Your goals and dreams will change by you age, and a lot of young people in their 20s doesn' think that long term. What I'm afraid of about this Only fans culture, is that (especially young girls) will one day find themself in their late 30s or 40s, haven't been able to create a family due to their past, and will end up very lonely and resentful. And i think this might be the case for many of these young girls who convince themself its 'just fine' to do softcore porn on the internet

On one hand, p_rn isn't new at all, and many actors/actresses from decades ago have gone on to live comfortably into their older years. But that was also before the days of being able to Google anyone who's been n_krd on the internet before. I agree with other sentiments here that it shouldn't matter if you've done SW in the past but sadly, I can't change the way other people think. There ARE a lot of older childfree people who regret not having children. Certainly not all, but they exist - I know several. One was my mom's best friend who is now in her 70s with no family or close friends. Another was my aunt who asked why I was waiting to have kids - because she was so busy living her life that she missed her chance without realizing it. A lot of people my age are living for the present and not the future because frankly, the future looks bleak. What's going to be around for us? No hope for retirement, no social security, a strained healthcare system, mass labor shortages, supply chain and transportation issues, a housing crisis and authoritarian globalism? That sounds like cr_p tbh. I'm just taking it one day at a time and I guess so are the rest of us.

@doesnotFempute I know a lot of people with children who regret having children. You can end up alone even if you have kids. Ask women who were told they had to be housewives their whole lives how it felt when their husbands died or left them. 0 job opportunites when youve been out of work that long with little education and no hope of a peaceful retirement. The expectation that every woman wants kids is dated. Let people live their lives and don't assume you know what's best for them.

@@yarly3180 When you say 'nude' do you mean one pinup behind an old magazin? or do you mean pornstar? because yeah sure. One nude photo in the backsection of a magazin from the 70s wont get you recognized on the streets. But 1) OnlyFans isnt just 'one nude' and 2) your name can be googled today and 3) the majority of Onlyfans models like the girl we see here use it for paid softcoreporn with 100s of photos and solocontent on videos. What im talking about is not girls with "one nude in the 70s".. Im, talking about girls directly using OnlyFans for a consistent content for paid services. And let me remind you; in the 70s nudity was also frawned upon by the majority of society. You usually had the nude photos explicit for certain magasins. Which people often were buying in disclosure. Every family grows up with it's individual culture of sorts, so one involving a parent with content on the web will have to have conversations about their diversity as a family and how they want to handle it. I wouldn't assume that as parents, these two wouldn't have a plan or that they would not be skilled at dealing with issues as they come up. Part of parenting is making repairs when there are difficulties, as well. Repair done properly is probably the most important part of parenting, TBH. Women own our bodies. Even our children must back off when it comes to us exorcising our bodily autonomy. Emily's body is hers to make any choice at all about. Any fall out around it can be managed with good parenting. Of course, this comment will be attacked by bigots. I'm not going to change your mind. I write posts for people sitting on the fence to see. Thing is, sex workers do have families. As do all manner of people who are part of various subcultures. I'd rather have a mother like Emily, who smiles love out of her face, than the vicious abuser I got. If their line of "job" is degrading themselves to only as a sex object, then that's what people will only see.. It will be hard to have a normal life. I pity these dumb people but at the same time have no sympathy either because they chose this.

Dude this interview and her personality was about as interesting a single butt hair on my ass. Literally learned nothing about how lucrative OF in the industry is, how it’s shaped her life and how it’s shaping our society on deeper levels. How she sees it impacting the way we connect socially or engage in explicit content. All of this could’ve been discussed but literally they talked about nothing lmao. This interview wasn’t it.
@ninacee9140 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. It seemed more like an advertisement for her channel and the towel company she works for despite apparently already making six figures from her own content. These videos are usually insightful or thoughtful because of a deep exploration of people's experiences, whereas everything discussed here was so superficial.

Our society is disgusting for convincing women this a viable career choice. We’ve brainwashed women into thinking it’s demeaning and sexist to have one man (a husband) that loves you and cares for you and provides for you, but selling yourself to many men that look at you as an object and allowing them to provide for you is somehow empowering. We’ve sacrificed the beauty and purity of women on the alter of corporatism and all we’re left with are empty shells knowing nothing but to be used (which her bf is clearly doing).
