The A/P disengaged (kicked off) when you demoed the CDI to GPS button. Good video on the GTN750. Thanks for doing them.

That's super Dom, I was just about to make you another video, I may anyway and call it "Setting up your GTN 750". There's lots it can do, so just explore and play with it, see what all the buttons do etc. The only function that doesn't work on it is Weather... bummer... Cheers my friend

Great video as always. Another thing you can do is once you're airborne, click on menu and then click on Flight plan. It will list all your waypoints, tell you the distance to the next waypoint and more importantly the altitude you're expected to be reaching that point. Very helpful with more complicated plans where descents from higher flight levels happen.

Nice video, I had trouble getting my CJ2 to fly an RNAV Y, for some reason it wouldn't let me load the approach, and I could not direct it to the iaf - only thing I could do was go direct to the faf. Is that a problem with the ship, the app, or the monkey on the yoke?

cool ! that's a pity the autopilot is with these colors (without color). The descent is also a pain with this aircraft. We should need another video with a tuto about how to descent during the approach.
@Ahmed.12.6 жыл бұрын
great , what is the name for this app how can i download it on my computer
@onlyforbrian26 жыл бұрын
Ahmed the GTN 750 is a payware addon, it doesn't go into the panels of all planes, but most payware planes will tell you if it's compatible with the GTN 750, like Carenado, store.x-plane.org/S550-Citation-II_p_894.html read in the description, under "Features" *Support for RealityXP’s GTN750*, that's what you look for. You can buy the Realityxp GTN 750 here, it's $50 USD. but well worth it. It just goes into your x-plane plugins folder. But look closely at the Realityxp page, there's one for FSX and one for X-Plane, make sure you choose the right one. You want the one near the bottom that says GTN 750 Touch www.reality-xp.com/store/index.html

So sorry to trouble you,knew I’d get it wrong,my aircraft leaves the magenta line,and follows a broken blue line,with a arrow,banking me right of my target airport,bugger keeps happening,any idea where I am going wrong please,thanks.

Hi Brian,so,do you set your heading bug for the course,and if so how do you know what the heading is,had my 750for two days now,but your tuition is starting to sink in,I ain’t the sharpest knife in the draw these days,ha ha.
@onlyforbrian25 жыл бұрын
Dom, the heading bug is completely separate from the GTN 750, it works with the autopilot, using the map. Maybe I'll make a video on that.

I'm watching your second video in an Aero Commander and you are talking about altitudes you need to be at as you do your GPS approach and you have NOT pulled up a IFR Plate to see your altitudes you need to be at as you fly your approach. You should have your license pulled....

Hello Please tell me how to get this program and load it with a g750? Thank you.
@onlyforbrian25 жыл бұрын
You buy the Realityxp GTN 750 here for X-Plane. ( $49).. make sure you buy the one for X-Plane near the bottom of the page and not the one for FSX.reality-xp.com/store/index.html After you download it, it goes into your plugins folder. Then get this plane. If you have the GTN 750 in your plugins, it will go into the plane automatically. store.x-plane.org/690B-Turbo-Commander_p_839.html

You should have information from the default airac... just start your GTN 750, click on flight plan. enter the ICAO of the airport you want, then info. Maybe I'll do a quick video for you. Do you have the GTN 750 in plugins?

Hey great video! I'm looking at getting into XPLANE 11, and I can't get over how beautiful the graphics are. Now i dont want to be rude, but If you don't mind me asking what kind of hardware are you working with and are you running any scenery mods in this flight or is it all default? I have a 13 y/o pc running windows xp and I may need a new pc so I'm doing my research. I grew up playing fs98 and so on to fsx. I'll click subscribe and nice landing!

Intel, i7-3770 3.50Ghz, 32 gig DDR3 ram, GTX 1060 video card. It was running on a GTX650, and I think you can get away with 16gig ram, but an i7-3770 is a minimum processor, I suggest if you can afford it, upgrade to an i7 800 series processor, which means you need a 300 series motherboard, go to DDR4 ram. Those are my future plans, also at least an GTX 1070 card, my rig is running at max to keep up, but I have a ton of ortho (satellite) scenery, taken grom google maps, which is why it looks so good. I also suggest if you're going to use ortho to get a 4 or 5 TB hard drive, I presently have 7. a 6 TB for files, and a 1 TB SSD for operating system.

Isn’t Gps approach categorized as a non precision approach? Nice Vid btw!
@onlyforbrian25 жыл бұрын
Yes it is because flights with a gps are a relatively new thing, but I've heard they are trying to certify all GPS's for precision approaches. I'm guessing it's just a matter of time. They've already approved the GNS 430 and 530 www.spacedaily.com/news/gps-04zzp.html

Hi Brian,oh Lordy,wonder if you can help me,so,I have a agronn flight sim with saitak instruments but when I load a 750 instrument approach it goes off course,so,I’m wondering if my flight rig is not working in congunction with the 750,I have spent three nights so far,and I can not do a instrument approach,not pullin my hair out but,you make it look quite easy,always follow your instruction on my I pad but always fails,ha ha.
@onlyforbrian25 жыл бұрын
Dom, I don't think it's your saitek, here, try doing a visual approach, just make sure when you hit the APR button on your AP, usually within 10 km from the airport that you're between 1800 and 2200 ft AGL to pick up the glideslope kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5mupGWtaa9li9U
@bran7565 жыл бұрын
Brian Pfeiffer thanks very much Brian,I have been at 2400,so,I hope that was my mistake,looking forward to trying that approach at a lower altitude,many thanks.
@onlyforbrian25 жыл бұрын
Dom, it could be your issue, plus don't forget to hit the APR (approach) button in your autopilot, within 30 km of the airport. and within 10 miles of the airport you shouldn't be more than 2000 ft AGL to pick up the glideslope. Keep me posted

Brian Pfeiffer sorry to be a pain Brian,but my c90just won’t track my course,tried other planes,same,so follow your programming,back to map,there’s the magenta line,take off,gear up,trim the airplane,then,press nav,the plane starts a nice bank east towards my target line,then,just banks on a northerly heading,ha ha,don’t know wether it’s just me being dumb,or it’s the 750,also I don’t hear the audible thing when the Garmin is firing up,sorry to be a fool but it just won’t work,cheers brian
