I've always been so embarrassed to tell anyone I have PTSD from domestic violence. Like I'd be ridiculed for it..... It's not like I was sent to Afghanistan. Idk. It's somehow comforting to know it's a real thing, I'm not making this up in my head. I avoid people I'm not related to. It takes a lot of energy for me to seem "normal" in public....so it takes me a while to recover. Omgoodness walking my dog. I have so many emotions in common with this young lady.

@@AutumnsKZbinAcct If thats even remotely True, they should have pulled your license. If there's even an ounce of facts in what you're saying that is completely irresponsible to your patients and they deserved better. So you were in a situation where you couldnt make the right decisions to nurture your own mental health and developed mental health issues as a result, but were in profession where you'd advise others on how to. Nah thats 🧢 Yeah I'm not buying it in the least It sounds like you're trying to Qualify & Validate your own opinion/experience.

@@jstone247 Stop it, Society is handing out victim status & labels for anyone who fills out an application, No push back, No Vetting, No Questioning what so ever .... Its like driving thru Chick Fillet with a Sob story and getting issued Victim Status. When everybody is Special, Nobody Is special. You can't even find co-dependants to pander victimhood too... Because they're too busy playing the role themselves. And treatment and mental health services are declining because of it, 20yrs I've been working with Veterans, and over the last 10 or So, I've seen healthcare professionals and program administrators become Indifferent to PTSD claims because everybody & their momma claims PTSD for any & every emotional discomfort they encounter.

Social media. The End. I'm not from America, but this one is certainly universal.

It's exposure to social media Like it's exposure to any mental health issue for long enough It's socially contagious, especially to the more prone of us. Their mirror neurons are off the scale, causing this epidemic. Too much," how are you feeling today. Let's check in with your emotions" etc

For anyone else mislead by the title as I was, this video doesn't go into the "why" at all. It's just a few people talking about their personal experiences with anxiety. There's no investigation or scientific discussion.

One word: daycare. Moms leaving their children in daycare causes an insecure attachment style in the child, if the child is under age 5 when the kid was left in daycare.

I had panic attack disorder and ptsd due to a predatory male when I was a young teenager, 1976. I thought I was going insane. My family was very dysfunctional so I was on my own. I wS supposed to go to medical school. At age 32 I finally got on Paxil. First time in 15 years I was able to relax.

I really hope all the people featured in this doc explore the possibility that they may have undiagnosed ADD and/or autism. Especially the task overwhelm, dopamine disregulation, anxiety driving unfamiliar places, masking, etc

Why these people have anxiety would have been useful. I am not opposed to medication but it doesn't fix the problem causing anxiety, i speak from experience and while therapy can help some its completely useless to others because therapy cant fix the problems that people are experiencing. When you come across a lot of people and you actually have a conversation, you start to build a picture and unfortunately, quite a large portion, you realise that unless their circumstances improve, no amount of trying to fool yourself in to learning to physiologically handle it solves the problem and you keep relapsing back into anxiety. People are lost, they have no direction, are more distant from each other (makes it worse when those with different views reject each other or try to convert each other which seems to be happening a lot, rather than accepting each other for their differences, society has become very cultish) they are a mess and those at the top are exploit this through further manufactured problems, a united people is bad for politics because politicians would be forced to do what's right and necessary to improve peoples conditions, the media because their BS would be called out and they'll lose money and the wealthy because they wont be able to buy influence. Your problems benefit those higher up and if you stand up against it, they'll try to punish you.

One must be careful with the notion of anxiety ... I think the old hermetic saying "everything is a half truth" really applies. I see no advantage to believing I have an actual "disorder." Even though I do know what it's like to be literally stuck because five different options are calling me and I can't choose. I know what it's like to taste cortisol pumping for no good reason at all. Tastes like metal. By the grace of God I've managed to have my own career and function in life but it has been a war. Everyone carries a cross however. This happens to be mine. I have the distinct feeling that others with my exact condition might take the victim card. Take on to their record the mental diagnosis and receive state funds. Etc etc ... Without question many are misguided into such a world. And don't get me started with the PTSD label people love to throw around these days. Just be careful with the labels. The ever-tempting victim mentality awaits you.

that's because especially in america men and women are expected to toughen up. but in alot of other countries too. it will get worse if you are afraid to be vulnerable. because you will subconciously or conciously fight it. and what you resist, persists. there is nothing wrong with being a victim or feeling sorry for yourself. the earlier someone can accept those feelings for what they are, the earlier they will heal.

The problem is the sacrum. The spine is completely omitted when it comes to addressing the CNS. The brain is the the brain, the spine, and the nerves running to each muscle. The problem is the institution has a grip on people's mega financial habits. The pelvic bowl is 8x6x10in. Why don't coaches and teachers and doctors understand or implement this? They have college degrees. How stupid can you be? You can prescribe a child amphetamines for ADHD, but you can't tell his hips are off? The issues with the brain, stem from the spine. The body is a unit. You must address the system, but in America it's about the acute procedure. The system and its procedures are the culprit. It's pretty sweet to live in these Federalist times, where governemt Accreditation means certified to sell. It's about capitalizing, people. That's what capitalism is. Its mandatory to pay health insurance to feed the government mandated system
