Respected Sir, UPSC Civil Services का जो Syllabus है उसमें दो पेपर एक Optional Subject का होता है जिनके अंक (marks) मेरिट लिस्ट में जोड़े जाते हैं। इससे होता यह है कि कोई कैंडिडेट maths या कोई language का पेपर लेकर बहुत अच्छा मार्क्स ले आता है जबकि कुछ लोग दूसरे subject में काम अंक पाते हैं। महाशय मेरा निवेदन है कि यह ऑप्शनल पेपर ( जिसका प्रशासन में ज्यादा उपयोग नहीं है) हटाकर सिलेबस में कुछ उपयोगी विषय को जोड़े जाएं तो शायद ज्यादा अच्छे Civil Servant आ पाएंगे। सिलेबस में किताबी ज्ञान को कम करने का एक उपाय यह हो सकता है कि Personality Test (Interview) को एक से ज्यादा बोर्ड में लिया जा सकता है और Interview का percentage बढ़ाया जा सकता है।
