Aman Hussain, if at all they found in non-polluted environment then what is the use of calling them bio-indicators Lichens are sensitive to atmospheric pollution as they extract nutrients from atmospheric deposition. Hence, any change in atmospheric nitrogen can be a problem to algae's chlorophyll

sir you stated wrong about lichens....they are good bioindicators because they are sensitive to nitrogen and sulphur.....you said they indicates the nitrogen and sulphur. Lichens means pollution free air......if lichens indicates the nitrogen and sulphur then whole DELHI would be under lichens.🤣🤣
