Beautiful garden 😍. I have to be careful somewhat with water consumption where I live in Australia. Do you think hand watering is better than reticulation when you are away from your garden for long periods?
@onlyplantsАй бұрын
I have a gardener that comes in daily. But automatic misting/water is a good idea if you are away for long. If water consumption is a concern, consider sealing the room for humidity (but be sure to have a fan on). This way the plant rely less on watering as humidity is trapped in the air

I use a hose in my appartment too. Started with having to carry at least 50liters of water to thr valcony every day on sunny day, was nuts. Now when i have lots of mosspoles its perfect to moister them up every other day as well as the regularn plants. Only time i use a can is when i fertilize

😂 Well my balcony is for sure. People stop and stare walking past. And when talking to people in the neighborhood and you tell them where ypu live they go -Oh so youre the one with the balcony 😂 Its glassed in and i put in wood floor with isolation beneath so its quite warm, also sun beyween 11am to 7pm But yeah... lots of plants indoors too. Always been into plants but for almost ten years we went away each summer all summer to our summer place, meaning i couldnt really keep too much at home. So I'm still on my way growing plants up again, meaning i have A LOT but most are still fairly small. Livingroom alone is 32 plants at the moment 😂 South facing windows 4.5meters wide and 1.2 high. Recently built custom sized plant tables to fit my larger plants that no longer could fit in the windows and those that needed a bit less light. At the moment building pidestals for my 1.2m (4 feet) high Zamioculcas zamiifolia because their 35cm wide pots cant fit on the window zill any more 😂 Garden hoses that expand and shrink is gold 😂

All plants will get pests eventually. Step #1 breathe and accept it Then you need to find pest control that works based on your parenting style and environment. Theres too many ways/options to list here. You can also use a combination of methods in different cycles. Pest control for me has become therapeautic and can be fun because I found many ways (actually every method I ever tried) worked wonders. The plants perk up weeks after and its joyful to see. @@onlyplants Sean, if people have plants it is their responsibility to read labels on their fertilizers and certain plants may not always want fertilizers everyday. People need to learn their own plant care needs just like what you have done. What works for you there in hot Indonesia would be different care needs in some other countries. It is all based on trial and error.
