Property loss very sad--but most of this fire is natures landscape cleanup. *Fire is not optional here,* it's an essential element, it must be frequent or it's bad when it goes. It WILL burn one way or another.

Most of this fire is healthy, certainly not avoidable. Fire is an essential component of these landscapes. What IS avoidable is this much fuel buildup due to infrequent fire.

Best to tune into where u live and what the landscape requires. Much of this looks 10 or 20 yrs since essential fire has cleaned up. *Fire is not optional* here, if not frequent, every few yrs at low intensity, it will be bad. It will always burn one way or another, we do it on our own terms or like this.

I remember 1 day when I said it. " I'd love to Live in Malibu, by the ocean. " There was no TV show, 2 and a half men, if you will, was never a thought. I was a young kid, 12 maybe. that inspired me. it was growing up in Bel Air as a child 5hat mostly inspired me. I thought, why can't we live down by the ocean 😮😮. kind of getting it now. Great video. The house that you were @ the 8:15 mark... has sprinklers on the roof... but they didn't know they were there. I told them about the sprinklers, when I was on the roof a few years back as they had just moved in. But they no remember the sprinklers were there. So they didn't get turned ON, during this fire. 🤯😵‍💫 They know now...reminded them last night after they finally got back to me. Whoops 😳 Glad everyone was safe. Crazy footage. 😵‍💫 Keep them cameras rolling 🤠

But the main guy that I walked the job with originally when they bought the house, only a few years back... that he didn't pass the information on to the owner. Or do any annual test. Like other systems there are tested on a regular basis. But this is no different than a lot of others that just don't know the details of their own houses. People just don't care... until they see why they need to.

Company canceled years ago. So if home lost that's it I'm old so if it happens I'll rent a small apartment. Beautiful wonderful place to live with wonderful people and views that's why we live ❤️ in California and my family came in the 1800s during the gold rush before California was a state walked across with wagon full of food and furniture horses oxen no cars ir train yet one side built a sailing ship and came around the horn ( south America) tothe bay still here 4th generation didn't get rich like most just ended up farming and helping build rail and city skilled craftsman etc good folks not into racism we all get along great.
