Absolutely brilliant video, was about to fail my assessment for not having my CAD done, but this video has saved me.

I learned a good bit of Fusion 360 from your videos so its fitting that I'm back learning Onshape from you as well. So much easier to learn this cad software than the one I tried between fusion and onshape.

You rock dude. There were some things in this video I didn't know and made things a lot easier for me! Thank you!

I've followed you for a long time and used Tinkercad and have used Fusion as well. Thanks for your onshape tutorials as they are helping me all the time. Seems like a nice midway journey between the limited (sometimes clumsy) Tinkercad and the too many features of Fusion.

is there an option to make animation of assembly in a timeline like in solidworks?
@NeurotechMX9 ай бұрын
My 2c. Don use the keyboard shortcuts on started videos, or mencion the key and highlight the click on ever tool change, you just leave us guessing and rewinding. But great videos, thanks, muy better than the OnShape learning center

Excellent video. Anyone knows if construction lines can be used in assembly to locate a part at a specific distance ? I can't seem to be able to make construction lines visible in assmbly.

I have drawn a 2 D part in onshape exported to DXF loaded the DXF into my ArcDroid plasma CNC and the DXF comes out around 3 times larger insize what setting do I need to change to overcome this problem Thanks Clyde Wolfenden

How do you insert parts into the assembly which are unrelated to the "part studio" you derived the assembly tab from? I want to add a part "owned by me" into an assembly but I don't know how to get access to it.

Thank you for this video when I uploaded the parts of the fidget spinner to Cura it scaled it up to %10000000 and took 15 hours to print how do you scale it down?

Do the caps not actually function when printed? It looks like the bottom cap would have to be glued to the top for this to work, right? 😆 Just want to make sure I'm not missing something... + Thanks for the video! 😃
@petervancaeseele9832 Жыл бұрын
Ya there is something up with the caps. I was expecting the post from the top cap to slide into the bottom cap for a friction fit but it stops at the face of the bearing. Is a .5mm difference good for a friction fit? I need to buy myself a 3D printer .....
@jazzman7820009 ай бұрын
Ok so it’s not just me. I had to watch this three times before I was sure I didn’t miss him extruding the 5mm circle for an interference fit pin. So, I wonder, can Onshape handle something like an interference fit?

I don't like the idea of my projects being on display. If I'm working on a project that's going to require a patent later why would I put my invention on display?
@jawaring4367 Жыл бұрын
how many patents do you have?
@The.Incliner Жыл бұрын
@@jawaring4367 we have 2 and we are always working on prototypes. Prototypes need to be kept secret until their patented that's means not displayed on the internet.

This goes way to fast...Really impossible to follow for starters. It just doesn't work. Can't do the second extrude on the bearing.Can't select that inner ring around the hole.
