I loved the Onsra Black Carve Belt Drive Version 1 so much that I had to get a Version 2. So the jury is still out on if I like the board and the pros and cons of the board. It will take some testing and more rides to determine but so far, I think the board is great. We will see what the verdict is in the upcoming weeks. Stay tuned for more content with this board.

Just got it. Snowboarding season was over and I figured I'd give it a try. The board is AMAZING! You can hear the motors but it's not annoying or obnoxious like I thought it might be. Definitely rideable in a neighborhood and you wont piss off the Jones's. I would keep a 14mm or 9/16 box end wrench handy cuz the truck's come pretty loose. This was my very first time even on an e-skate. Definitely found my new summer hobby. Ps Thanks for a video without music or voice track being played over so we could hear the sound!

@@Ramatorix I thought the same thing coming from esk8, but decided to try it anyway. It takes about a week to learn, but once you do the ride is significantly smoother because you have a large pneumatic tire, there is a whole lot more range, the acceleration, braking, stability, maneuverability and portability are all significantly better. There is a reason so many NY riders are switching from their high power boards to electric unicycles, its just better... I was skeptical, thought there is no way a single wheel can be more stable than a board on 4 wheels, but those new EUCs are hitting damn near highway speeds now and are stable doing it!

You dont have a remote, you lean forward to speed up, lean back to slow down. Most of them have a huge battery so you can ride long distance, its impressive how much range you can get. Very informative video. Thank you. Looking to get my first board for casual comfortable rides. I will only drive it paved roads. Hoping for a board and tires that can handle bumps and cracks. Others have said this deck is stiff. Does that make for an uncomfortable ride? Others complain about double king pin trucks. Is there an advantage or disadvantage to having double king pin trucks? Lastly, is there an advantage to buying this board as opposed to a much less expensive board (like the Backfire G3) for riders with no skating experience. I'm trying to be as safe as possible. I'm willing to spend the extra money if the quality of the board will make a difference.

The ESC of the Evolve puts out a lot more current initially which the HW will not regardless of gearing but sure, good enough acceleration. On my commutes the old Onsra would be much too loud so this is an improvement. The Challenger should bring more information about the DD especially with 97 mm wheels giving you more torque but the motors even closer to the ground. Hopefully the range of the Onsra 2 is good enough for you to keep the rubber wheels on. Look forward to more.

interesting where they placed them screws. The designer in me wants them all spaced equally, and there's this big gap in the middle. You'd think that if the deck flexed the screws that would be subject to the least amount of lateral movement would be those in the middle.
@Ramatorix
@Ramatorix 3 жыл бұрын
From my experience its the screws on the end that take the beating because when the deck flexes down it wants to pull up the ends. @@Ramatorix well, a few to be honest. One issue I’d have to show you in video, because I’m not quite sure how to quickly articulate that issue. But the other issues are that the bearings just fall out of the pulleys, the cloud wheels don’t fit snugly - they actually can wiggle back and forth quite a bit, and the other issue which is related to the belt. I can make a very short video to show what I mean if you’re interested. These metal pulleys are a miss, so far. :(

Whats the max speed with the Black Carve V2 Belt drive
@Ramatorix
@Ramatorix 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the size of wheels and pulleys. Stock it comes with 115mm wheels and 45t pulleys. People have said max speed about 26mph. You get 40t pulleys and 120mm wheels and you should be around 30 mph. Hope this helps

Are you getting the DD V2?
@Ramatorix
@Ramatorix 3 жыл бұрын
Probably not. I have learned the belt drives are better for my weight, area, and riding style. From my understanding the dd is the same as v1 so the big differences will be deck and battery. So if you watch the v2 belt drive you should be able to know what to expect. Hope this helps. Take care.

How much do you weight? What wheels do you want to run? Where you live are there hills or is it flat?

@@Ramatorix I weigh 190 pounds. I have no idea on what type of wheels to get. This would be my first electric skateboard with no previous skateboarding experience. I have a hilly terrain with good roads. I'm totally confused.
@Ramatorix
@Ramatorix 3 жыл бұрын
@@sunilk_89 for me it is a supper easy decision. The direct drive are great for people in flat area, want to stay on street wheels, and weight under about 170lbs. They are quiet and have plenty of power for those conditions. But for hills and a heavier rider it is a little under powered. I weight 210 and have hills where I ride. I think the direct driver would be great starting out but I think you might grow out of it after a few months. As you get better at riding you will probably want more power than the direct drive can offer. If you ask me for my suggestion I think you should go with belt drive. With belt drive you can change the gearing later to suite your riding style. If you want more top speed you can go with bigger wheels and smaller pulleys, want more torque go with smaller wheels and bigger pulleys. For my weight and area my favorite combo is 105mm cloudwheels with 45t pulleys. PU wheels and cloudwheels will also give you a lot more range than the 115 rubber wheels. Go onto my channel and look under playlists. Look at the 3 playlists, onsra belt drive, onsra direct drive, onsrsa belt drive V2. There is a lot of info in all of those videos that will help you out. Dont get hung up on v1 or v2, the videos will help with direct drive or belt drive. Belt drive does make more noise and has a little more maintenance though. Feel free to ask questions. Everyone is different and all I can give is my experience and opinion but this may help you some.

@@Ramatorix Thank you so much for the advice. I think I will get the belt drive then. Will watch the videos in your play list. Onsra black carve or exway atlas? What would you choose?
@Ramatorix
@Ramatorix 3 жыл бұрын
@@sunilk_89 so you will see in my videos that I try to be 100% honest. With that said I have not rode the exway. This is because I can not get exway to answer my emails or dm. For for me its onsra hands down. They have always been responsive and treated everyone I know of well. As far as which board is better I do not know because I have not had the chance to ride the exway. The onsra black carve v2 is my favorite board I own and with their customer service I will stick with them lol. But like I tell everyone, only you can decide which board is best for you. Good luck with the decision.
