Ontario man accused of shooting, killing armed intruder in his home released on bail

The Milton man accused of second-degree murder in the shooting death of an armed intruder in his home last month has been released from jail on $130,000 bail.
The family of 22-year-old Ali Mian hugged outside a Brampton, Ont., courtroom moments after Superior Court Justice Bruce Durno consented to his release.
The judge said he took into account the position proposed by the Crown prosecutor who consented to Mian’s release, before imposing a number of conditions agreed upon by Crown and defence attorneys.
Halton police said that on Feb. 19 at around 5 a.m., five suspects entered a home on Gibson Crescent in Milton. Investigators believe the intruders were intent on committing a robbery.
Mian, who lived in the home with his mother, confronted the suspects and a number of gunshots were fired. When police arrived they found and identified one of the suspects as 21-year-old Alexander Amoroso-Leacock of Toronto. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There’s videos of Sheriffs in Florida saying they will teach you how to shoot correctly to get kill shots for this type of situation. What if they're running to their car to get a gun. Its different if they drop to the ground on their knees or lay on their stomachs to surrender. Home is where you should be safe and we should have a right to defend our homes. If you can't be safe in your own home where the hell can you be safe. We're certainly not safe in a school, a church, a grocery store or on the street so we should at least be safe at home. Maybe we wouldn't have so many home invasions if criminals knew we had the law on our side with the right to protect our lives. I don't care about stuff, criminals can have it but if someone came into my home threatening my life...I would do whatever it takes to save myself and others, regardless of law. Other Western nations require people to get a firearms license before being allowed to purchase a firearm and ammunition. Most such licenses have to be renewed like a car registration. No one is ever allowed to get a firearms license for self-defense. That is clearly stated on the applications and all applications are tested on this and other firearm laws before a license can be issued.

During the commission of ANY crime (in this case robbery) if ANYBODY dies (regardless of who, what, when, where, why and how) all parties involed in that crime will be charged for the persons death. when I mentioned in the comments on another KZbin video similar to this one that self defense is illegal in Canada, no one believed me. I was attacked from behind by a man and defended myself and I'm the one ended up charged and he walked. they "stayed the charges" because he didn't show up in court. so I never got my day in court to prove my innocence. and was basically charged as guilty and told not to do it again or the original charge would come back. I dont know where the guy is but I moved to another province.
