Ontario town plans to sell land for as little as $10

Municipal officials in Cochrane says they're putting the finishing touches on the plan. Part of the criteria will include a commitment to build a home on the land. David Zura explains.

I guess we are not taxes enough in Canada should go up to 90% tax. Am surprise no one here mentioned property taxes. Must small towns like this would cost you 5k to 10k year in taxes, its the only way a city can generate income.

I think it's a legit if it's coming directly from the city. But there is going to be stipulations on how you build your house... and if you can afford it.

Depending on the infrastructure if you have City sewers, water, septic tank. It is definitely worth inquiring
