Toggin' is the best! I would recommend keeping those cut up legs as chum to keep the fish under the boat.

I'm a big fan of Joe Baggs tog jigs. Great hooks and he has large jigs for party boat fishing. Bottom sweeper jigs are also great for urban tog fishing.

No registration/Hull Identification Numbers on the kayaks? Thought ALL boats powered by a motor (including electric motors), and operated in public MA waterways had to be registered.

Glad that such a solid brand and parent company supports On The Water. @Kevin you mentioned the kayak's stability. With more wind and some chop, how might a 10' 6" or 12' Sportsman perform? The 13' 6" might be too big for my kind of transport.
@kevinblinkoff84663 жыл бұрын
Hi Matt - what's you transport? and are you looking at pedal drive or Autopilot?

@@kevinblinkoff8466 An early 2000s Ford Explorer, so thinking of cartopping it or using a hitch extender. Whichever provides greater peace of mind over longer treks on the highway. I'm gonna go the PDL route: Sportsman 106, 120 or Bigwater 132.
@kevinblinkoff84663 жыл бұрын
@@topwater_tommy I am a fan of the Bigwater - I actually find it easier to get on top of an SUV (nissan pathfinder) because I can "lever" it up by putting the bow up first and then lifting the stern. And if you are doing a lot of saltwater fishing, it handles open water waves and chop a bit better than the 106/120

@@kevinblinkoff8466 Perfect timing. A few days ago I was able to secure a Predator PDL! Looking forward to picking it up this weekend. I came to the same conclusion about length given where I fish and I saw a 2020 Predator in a color scheme I've wanted for a long time. Cheers.

You should not be fishing colder water without a drysuit or drytop/waders combo. Very foolish.
