"Duty to accommodate" why? How it to the business owners benefit to pay out of pocket to accommodate so few people? This is just as bad as the smoking indoors ban... You don't like people smoking at a bar? Then don't go there. We're removing people's right to operate their business in the way they see fit. This is some of the most totalitarian legislation I've seen in this country.

Exactly. The employee should not work at the establishment if he cannot meet the requirements of the agreed upon contract.

Cdn Conservative So you would prefer disabled people to stay home, not contribute to society (ie: pay taxes) and collect YOUR tax dollars for multiple decades? “HEY, WORKING DISABLED PEOPLE! QUIT YOUR JOBS AND JUST ASK Cdn Conservative TO SEND ALL OF HIS TAXES DIRECTLY TO YOU - he WANTS to pay for you to sit at home!” In fact, since disability payments are below the poverty line, and he doesn’t want ANYONE with ANY DISABILITY to work, then Cdn Conservative should pay MORE TAXES... I have panic attacks (a disability where I need accommodation maybe 1-2 times per week for 15 minutes where I need to isolate), so you want to pay for me to stay home right? Thanks buddy!

Everyone has a right to work if they want … I could go on disability 5 x over but I choose to work because I love working, love my job, it’s good to have a social life …. Who wants to sit at home all day and feel worse? And smoking indoors … what about the people who don’t smoke but are stuck in a meeting with people who do? Or lunchrooms at work …

@@billypanice2860 It depends on the scope of work that you are performing. For instance, if your anxiety attacks put any workers, members of the public or infrastructure at danger/risk then you would be a clear risk to others and the operation and you should not attend work due to safety risks. You need to be mentally fit for duty especially when working in high risk environments where others may rely on your competency and ability to perform emergency safety procedures. For instance, If a guy is trapped in a man hole and you are the designated rescuers you would be objectively unfit for the task as your anxiety might come into play when time is of the essence (after 4min brain damage will occur if you cant recover the victim). To summarize yes you should be able to work but don't expect to do everything and certainly don't complain if you are found to be ineligible for certain tasks that would put others or the operation at risk (Your ability to work with does not supersede employee safety). Good Luck with your future endeavors and hopefully you have a job that fits with your workplace limitations. I have to say though Your welfare comment is very childish, hopefully you are more professional in the workplace.
