WOW> My grandfather used to sing ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS all the time. Whatever he was doing he would be singing it. Everyday. He never sang anything else. Not that I remember. Maybe at Christmas. But he sang this like it was his only thoughts when he was not talking to us. Sang it like it was all that was in his mind. He was right. A great hymn it is.

Wrong picture to represent our Spiritual fight in this world. The picture portrays the violent,blood spilling fighting crusades,which were anything but Christian/of Christ ,in Christ name..😢 ie: The 11th century crusade whose soldiers raped,beheaded, killed many Jewish and muslim women,children ,in Jerusalem 😢.. Our fight is not with sword spilling blood ; Ephesians 6:12; For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:11: Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5: For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
