This was made pre-covid, while they were still touring. There are audience videos out there with them doing this live (no costumes or make-up) with Santa on a screen behind them. I came in late so getting in on the chat was too late. If no one mentioned it in the chat - Santa is physically played by Geoff's brother-in-law, but voiced by Eli (the other guy in red on the set). And this is while Earl and J None were still in VoicePlay. This is also before PattyCake Productions (Layne's production studio where they film most of their stuff now) had their space. So, in a rented space and you can see much fewer patrons than now, hence lower budget. And yet it is wonderfully done on a comparative shoestring! Not sure where exactly they recorded audio, but I believe this was also before most of them had in-home studios for that. When this came out, Geoff's ending subharmonic E1 was jaw-droppingly unheard of by most. There are reactions to this all over where the reactor is gobsmacked. And since this one he now has recorded B0s in 'Halo' & 'Valhalla Calling' and probably pretty close to that in 'My Mother Told Me' where he's impersonating a Viking Warhorn.

This is the first VoicePlay video I watched after I found Geoff Castellucci's cover of Sixteen Tons. That was almost five years ago. Huldra Drako is the best. Keeps us updated on all things VoicePlay & Geoff. Plus their social media.

I'm giving her a shout in anything that I post pertaining the VP because she's the bomb.com! I'm so glad you're back. I'm really trying to find the good balance on the audio for these videos. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong that the sound is coming out like this. I will hopefully have it completely fixed here in the near future. Thank you so much for returning 😊

Thanks for returning to VoicePlay! This one is delightful and from the time when Earl was in the group. (He left in summer 2020 after being with them since their founding under a different group name in 1997.) Glad to hear your shout out to Huldra Draco...definitely the definitive source for more info on VoicePlay and Geoff's solo work. "This is Halloween" is another of their older ones, but definitely you need to react to it (another from The Nightmare Before Christmas). It's another great theatrical cover. Did you see VoicePlay's announcement today on their channel that after hearing their cover of "Sleeping in the Cold Below" the Warframe game people contacted VoicePlay to collaborate with them to do a video for their Warframe 1999 version releasing this December? Cool, huh!

@@eh...whatever9261 No worries, we'll stick with you as you grow your channel and skills. A favorite activity is watching others enjoy my favorite artists and helping to spread the word about their talent. The community that the guys have fostered is a very enjoyable one. Hoping that your wife heals swiftly. If you listen to Geoff's comments at the end of most of his solo videos, he calls out the names of his top tier patrons and you can hear him pronounce Huldra's name. After all of these years, I'm certain that he knows which is correct. Recently, Geoff said something about expecting his and VP's Christmas releases to KZbin by the end of this week, so keep an eye out! Several reactors react to their premieres and the guys will usually be in the live chat for the duration of their YT premieres. The premiere dates and times are usually announced on YT a day or so in advance so that folks can choose "notify me." Their patrons already have access and are enjoying them. I would recommend that if it works for you.

This video was 2018 or 2019. Earl Elkins Jr. The one with the beard left in 2020. The black guy left in 2021. Geoff did an E1 at the end. His lowest at the time. Now he can get to a B0 like in Valhalla Calling. It's still a great song. Voiceplay and Geoff released their Christmas videos on their patreons Friday and Saturday. They both are absolutely amazing. Don't know when they're being released to KZbin but will be soon. Voiceplay also put out a teaser short that they when they did "Sleeping In The Cold Below" last year for Warframe video games they liked it so much they commissioned them to do a video for their new Warframe game. More details in the short. That is coming out sometime this month as well.

Even though I don't send to all of them cause some are on their Patreons and already know. The ones I do send to are my favorites 😁. I absolutely love being on their and Geoff's patreons. So many awesome perks even at the lower tiers. And you get videos and stuff they only get. And you get to see their true selves 😂, families and, behind the scenes videos and so much more. Sorry. Tend to ramble when I love or passionate about something or someone 😊

About the patron list.... This was early on, you can see Layne's mother and, I think Geoff's dad listed. What you see now is their two top tiers. First is static the second scrolls. Someday I'm m going to see my name up there, I just have to cut the budget somehow.

@@eh...whatever9261 One word of caution. It’s not always a good idea to react to the early release that they put out on Patreon. Obviously you shouldn’t release it until they release their video out on regular KZbin, but sometimes they make changes due to responses from the fans and the video you’re reacting to may not be the one that everybody else sees. That being said, a lot of people still do react to the early release holding onto it until it hits KZbin and just preface it by saying this is from the early release if there are any changes. Two of my favorite perks for being a patron at a very low financial level are the behind-the-scenes which are always so interesting and the karaoke track which really helps me here and assimilate all the background with what the lead is doing. Sometimes I get so caught up in the lead that I don’t really appreciate what the other ones are doing.

Before you started, I had to let you know that both VoicePlay doing Zat U Santa Claus? and Geoff doing Carol of the Bells dropped today. Voctave (another acapella group where EJ Cardona dwells and sometimes sings with VoicePlay) has the most angelic and heavenly version of Mary Did You Know? and they have brought in Mark Lowry, the lyricist for this carol, to be the lead singer. Now let's start Oogie Boogie. I love it so. There are several more from Nightmare Before Christmas - VoicePlay's: This is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, What's This, and then there is a Geoff solo - Jack's Lament - watch all the way to the end - there's behind the scene goodies! They also have Christmas goodies too - O Holy Night, Christmas Don't Be Late, You're a Mean One, Mr. Grinch, Mission: Jingle Bells, Jingle Bell Rock, Wookie for Christmas, The First Noel and more. Geoff solos: White Christmas, Blue Christmas, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Melikimaka and more. I didn't hear any weirdness. It may just be my ears. I got myself a new headset at Costco for Christmas - it's a Bose (before price was $315 and during Black Friday the price dropped to $150) my old one was one of those $35 dollar one from Walmart.

When I play back in OBS studio after recording, it sounds fine but when I transfer it to Filmora, the sound goes wonky. I really am looking at just getting a different editing program to put the videos together. If you all have any thoughts or suggestions, I'm all ears for sure haha. I've tried noise suppression, hum and hiss noise suppression and some other variations. I really do apologize for the distortion or wavy kind of sound.
