(Knowing China’s bloody history and wars) The thing is, Oogway had a change of heart when the Pandas taught him how to give Chi, he learned a better way to achieve peace. But Kai never had that change and saw the Pandas’s power as a new method to become stronger and use it to keep conquering. Oogway failed to convince Kai otherwise, so he had no choice but to stop his beloved brother.
