This was absolutely great filming. I can’t get over how raked every orca was. Everyone had major scars. These orcas were resident fish eating orcas. They didn’t seem to care with you having the camera in their face. Such beautiful animals.
@outoftime77402 жыл бұрын
@A Pinkett J there are resident orcas all over the world, there are residents off Spain that eat only tuna. Residents off Iceland and Norway that eat only herring. There are residents off New Zealand that dine exclusively on sting rays. There are residents off U,S. and Canada that eat only salmon. And Northern residents off Canada that eat another type of fish. Residents usually have a broken saddle patch like these here. And the females have a more curved dorsal fin, like these here. And plus they are a bit smaller than transients.. I saw land in the background, proving they were close to shore. Someone needs to follow these orcas and find out what they are eating. My guess these are the tuna eating orcas.
@outoftime77402 жыл бұрын
@A Pinkett J and I seriously don't think transient orcas are that playful to humans. Or do they have any fascination with boats. It's the residents orcas lately that are scaring people, in their boats off Spain and Portugal.. Because the people think they are being attacked by the orca, because these playful orcas are chewing on their rudders and using their boats as scratch toys. To rub themselves on. Those aren't transient orcas doing that.
@laltimo21916 жыл бұрын
So beautiful. Out of words. The diver took the risk to get closer to the orcas. Good they didn't mind him.
@robertdresser35202 жыл бұрын
What risk? When did orca in the wild attack humans? They have killed a few but those were captives held in marine parks as tourist attractions. We've got plenty of them here, resident and transient pods, and no one has been attacked.

@riwen08516 жыл бұрын
spacebug30 did you compare human life and orca life? Do you know how different we are? Orcas need to browse 100km (62 miles) per day, they are the most sociable animal on earth, with an unique dialect in each group. They have a different culture in different regions of earth, a culture based on language and on hunting techniques. All these things disappear in captivity. Don't talk about a subject (and talk with irony like if you are right) if you don't know anything about it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWK5dqqpfpmGors kzbin.info/www/bejne/aGGvin6ke9espNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/apTXlqCkfauGqa8 www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/5CwGj57DFpzW1G3Tq0hb607/hunting-school-for-orcas simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonic_immobility (part on sharks) www.google.fr/amp/s/phys.org/news/2010-03-smart-killer-whales-orcas-2nd-biggest.amp (long but very interesting) www.nature.com/articles/ncomms11693 (this one is very long but this one summarizes well www.newscientist.com/article/2091134-orcas-are-first-non-humans-whose-evolution-is-driven-by-culture/#.V03XUYRFg6J.facebook ) www.google.fr/amp/s/amp.livescience.com/63318-orca-mother-stops-pushing-dead-calf.html

spacebug30 in norway, in canada, in mayotte, in new zeland, every season divers go with orcas, swim with them, and go out of the sea with an unique desire in their mind, start again. @Bluenose3527 жыл бұрын
Hassan AlQarni They have a mutual respect for humans. They don't get annoyed at all really. They just figure you're meant to be in the water. When the Pod is traveling, they're more focused on making sure the entire Pod makes it to their destination. Once they're at their destination, then they can focus on both the Pod, and humans that might be in the area.
