He does cancer research and is involved in treatment planning which is awesome but seems to want to let people think he is a physician. Long post incoming about a really nasty topic in Canadian history 1:21:16 there's also examples of omission with Canada about the residential schools. For those who don't know they were essentially cultural assimilation camps for the children of the Indigenous populations here. I've heard some older people say that their education only said that the Australian colonies used them in school I was told that they happened in Canada and the last one was shut down in the 50s, later on I learned that some were going on till the 90s. A lot of people are unaware of that despite the fact that the Truth and Reconciliation people are trying to spread word of what happened in those, there are still survivors who can give first hand accounts. A year or two ago it was found that there were hundreds of children buried in unmarked graves on the site if many of these places, years prior my college class had T&R people come in to do a presentation and that fact came up, so evidently all this had to have been known but a lot of the history has just been omitted until the government and the church were forced to acknowledge it.
@Sorel20202 жыл бұрын
The ones that we're still "operating" by the 90s were in name only. They were rebranded then as schools because that's what they had become by then. I only bring this up because it's incredibly disingenuous to act like they were anything close to the one's closed in the 50s.

On the whole homeopathy thing, in Germany weirdly enough people don't even know what it is, the same with chiropractics. They just go to their "doctor" and they do what that person says to do. That's about as much thought as the general German especially senior citizen puts into it. Doctor said do it, so it works and is good, is the rationale. I myself gotta say I love overdosing on my homeopathic sleeping pills, makes me feel so refreshed in the morning. You also have to put into consideration that the medical field in Germany is widely different from the one in the states, I've had doctors here that have been worse at doing their jobs than if I did them myself, and that's worrying to say the least. Mistrust of doctors, especially in mental health is a huge thing amongst patients here, I resent the medical field for basically ruining the last 15 years of my life, I would still go to a hospital if it were severe enough though obviously.

In the section of Historical Commissions, you discuss the topic of how people not following pandemic restrictions may not be saved in the medical documents just like how local remedies and such weren't saved in documents from the time. I'd like to rebuttal with the fact that during the Spanish Flu, there were Americans who refused to wear masks in the same way that people refused to recently. I'd argue that it's less that people don't have access to things in history and instead it's a negative aspect of living in an individualistic society where it's common to think about one's self before the greater community.
