if your pool is not damaged you can just paint it with a black pond sealer

Maybe paint the cages black so you can see into the cage. And it will be easier to see your creatures. If the screen is white it will be the only thing you see.

That was my thought exactly! Human eye tend to see through dark grey or even black net better than though white one which stands out much more. So Michael, as you want to watch monkey rather than cages with monkeys inside, I recommend the colours that are used in zoos. Dark colours tend to absorbe more sun hit but as long as that is net there should be no big difference. Please, reconsider colours before painting cages.
