Hi John, you could always put adjustable feet on the legs of the layout, either whilst under construction or as a retrofit. Nice vid. Belated Merry Christmas and a Happy NewYear. Cheers Ted.

+Ted Sproat Thanks Ted... so my layout is actually bolted to the wall (literately), with a couple of supporting legs, so its a bit more challenging to raise/lower the level of the layout. Its basically a massive shelf. However you are quite correct, if someone has built a layout with the more traditional table style approach, you could adjust the height of the legs! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

Those back scenes look superb a lot of modellers use them now but not ideal or me being in a garden shed,if my painted back scene gets damp or what ever then I just simply repaint the scene if I used these ID scenes then I would need to replace the ID scene be a huge job. Kev

+percomotion Thanks Kev... have you thought about maybe insulating your shed? I've seen a couple of people use that "tin foil" type insulation. Over here in the States we have this foam board insulation, so you can take the siding off your house, nail/glue the foam board to the house, then reinstall the siding. Its not too expensive. I only know about it because the builders cut a few corners when they built our house and didn't install the right insulation, so we had to supplement it with the foam board.

My shed is fully insulated mate I don't trust anything in there that's why all my buildings are plastic or resin t the end of the day its a wooden building which is quite old now so probably not many years left in it. I'm hoping one day I can use the loft which is probably bigger than the shed. Kev

I'm guessing, because I only have the standard ones, but I think the premium range is made of waterproof sheeting, for use in damp environments.

Hi, Do like the ID backscenes, I had come to the same conclusion that the backscene would be better fitted first and the rail scene integrated to it, you could then match the ground cover colour to the back scenes, although probably easier said than done. Just a thought but i recently bought some dry stone walling sections from Ebay, £9.99 + postage for 80 pieces. Was a bit sceptical as its cheap, but was pleasantly surprised how good it looks. (just checked my Ebay and was purchased from sceneryandlayoutsuk) might be a way to blend the layout into the village scene.RegardsJim

+Jim Goulding Thanks Jim... I was thinking about having something custom 3D-printed on sandstone, but I might give those walls a go, they look pretty decent..
