There’s nothing like it. Does it justify the price? Subjective. If I didn’t get it as a gift, I would probably not buy it and always wish I had it. Can my mpc live 2 or maschine plus do everything it can and more? Yes. But does it have the immediacy, form factor and quick sampling ability? No. I love sampling on this thing.

Hey! TBH… I never use the onboarded speaker… it’s always either my interface/speakers or headphones.. there is also not many new sounds per say but there are couple of new synths and effects which may be better (worth the price to upgrade? Depends on you).. maybe the biggest point to consider is now you have stereo rather than mono and it feels more expensive. I never had the OG tbh so that’s why if I’m spending this much.. might as well get the latest one.. but I’m not sure if i would update if I had the OG.. maybe not.. I think you get 90% out of OP1 with OG
