I will say cult of personality is amazing. Having an early second hero in your first army is an amazing power boost, especially if they are a ritualistic or a mage.

Coincidentally I am in the middle of an overlapping Feudal build. Core is prolific swarmers (& fabled hunters but not for the archers) evolution - Revelry - Dragon - Cleansing Flame - Prosperity and either Order Exalted or Chaos Channelling to make flames work. With variants A. Faith plus Inquisition or Scry or glades or B. Rock + Scry and the core chaos route above. That's with an ordinary Hero defender (I do not have unlock). 3 routes to make peasants resurrecting until they are defenders and 2 evolving bounce back units as well. Went Cheerful, defensive tactics, and fast recuperation for the "resurrectees". The inquistion v scry decision tough one as have battle mage buffs on dragon tome and channelling tomes if taken along with scry's range unit boost but inquisition a gateway drug for condemnation/cleansing flames until Channelling obtained... p.s. cities with pyreshrine give faithfull directly.

Thanks for your comment, I clearly overlooked that Cleansing Flame Tomes Faithful addition. A lot of the things you mention here were on my list of candidates I had while doing this build so it's really fun to read that you went down different paths ^^ Evolution is just a massive book both for Feudal and Dragons. I just wanted to have some Dragon builds w/o Evolution as with the newest expansion we surely have some interesting new options and less reliance on evolving dragons alone.

I see all these dragon builds but nothing taking advantage of Slithers being animals and dragons (and draft units!!!) in tome of evolution, where if you go hard into draft buildings you can crap out champion rank slithers that are ready to evolve after one combat. Add all the skirmisher arrow buffs, animal buffs, and then grab some shepherd (or trainer) heroes and build slithers the entire game and then evolve them. Gets all your heroes to max renown, makes crazy armies with druid (from shepherd) and pack leader (from nature initiate or w/e the level 4 nature tree calls it… and if you are replaying an ascended hero and take the dragon buff it gets even more bonkers) I ran barbarians with the swift marchers and fabled hunters and stopped building anything but slithers around turn 8, and by turn 50 I was running over AI like it was nothing. Going tome of evolution -> alchemy -> winds -> revelry -> vigor -> devastation and you basically just walk around with giga-juiced slithers (and even the hatchlings are potent on their own). It’s brain-dead easy and one of the silliest army-view panels I’ve ever had. I literally just build slithers and mounted heroes so they could clear the map at mach 10. Worth a try if you think it’d be fun. :)

That's because all my previous Dragon Builds were using Evolution Tome in the past and I was trying some new twists w/o that tome.

OP and Feudal in the same video? Should be interesting

Feudal is pretty bonkers even after they lost the Feudal Lords bonus traits. The cheaper troops make them snowball crazy and I somehow managed to grab a ton of farm synergy. This build should have a good time on expansion victories.

@its because with manual combat and against the computer anything reasonably coherent works totally fine. His builds typically aren't strong. Consider them more like inspiration for thematic non competitive builds.

@@Ic0nGamingoh I don't think it's boring content (though the OP bit is more of a series name than a reflection of strength level, I assume it's good for getting views) I don't always play the strongest stuff either (even though good autocombat is very comfortable) it's fun to see different thing and for me it works as a spark to do my own ones That's part of the fun of the game any way. It's drastically different content to the MP focused ones. They are sort of forced to have better understanding of what's actually good. But the point of the game is not to be good, it's to have fun and then themes and strange stuff are part of the charm.

@@mrCyk0 Yeah, the OP tag is 100% algorithms fault. I can't help it that the search engine works as it works. But I have made it as a rule that for those "OP" builds I go mostly for numbers as hard as I can within a theme. Some work better than others indeed. The wonderful thing about AoW 4 is that you can stick some fantasy ideas together and if you theorycraft hard enough you can make them work somehow. Almost no game has this quality to me and that's why I love it ^^
