I actually play this, frostbolt/deep freeze, with ice lance cast together w frostbolt on last fingers of frost, ilvl 67 and i pull 4k dps, when you pop cd's in execute phase, i go to 5.5k dps. I just use clear mind instead of biting cold, and that helps a lot w mana issues, i dont use evocation and you can even skip brilliance aura. You gotta take all 3 haste cd's and arcane power, you can go trough pretty much a whole bossfight on flex with 20% increased haste like that. Ontop of that, only 1 talent goes into elemental clearcasting and take all int>sp talents, imp spell power talent, frostbrand 3/3 talented and inner fire. I get 1.4k spell power and in execute phase i crit 8k frostbolts and 14-15k deep freezes.

Hi Ivan, do you also not cast ice lance when fingers of frost procs? I get higher dps when I do. Tho i never got to 4k. More like 3.5-3.8 ish

@@herrizaax I dont cast ice lance when finger of frost procs, the first 2 FoF are reserved for frostbolt, and on the third stack of fingers of frost, i cast a frostbolt+ice lance. Ice lance w FoF does more damage than a non-FoF frostbolt, so you get a bit more dmg out of it. Also by now BWL is out, you should do easy 4k with that bit more spell power on your gear. Also make sure to start a fight with 50 stacks of stay frosty, you can stack them w blizzard or hurricane on the side somewhere, sometimes this helps you with getting more procs overall during the fight.

In the new season this is still nuts. As of current with just some basic heroic gear I'm hitting 11k frost bolts and 25k deep freezes.

I'd almost consider moving 6 points around to get 3/3 Living Spirit from the Resto Druid Tree (15% more Spirit, Capstone of Rejuv ticking for 50% more on targets under 50%) and 3/3 Student of the Mind from the Arcane Mage Tree (15% more Spirit, Capstone 15% of your Spirit become spell power), drop Mage Armor for Molten Armor (5% Spirit = Spell Crit) and then add Fel Armor (5% Spirit = Spell Hit). People are totally sleeping on Spirit Build casters right now, but I am easily hitting Hit Cap with them and pumping out insane numbers with almost every Spirit Caster build I have played. This obviously changes up your stat priority a bit, because the value of Spirit is huge with those changes, but there is so much good caster gear with tons of Spirit on it already.

People haven't been sleeping on spirit casters at all. They have been nerfed twice already because SO many people were using them!

@@DrydekTV I might just run into a lot of new players then, but you are right. My main spec is a Pure Shadow that I redid to suit the new talents/talent trees a bit better and I absolutely pump. I'm playing around with this build right now though. Made a few changes and actually had to get rid of some Mana Regen (Pyromaniac) cause my mana regen was so stupid high that I couldn't myself under 90% mana lol. Need to get more REs for it though, but I defenitily see the potential in this build. With just Ice Barrage and Shatter as my only 2 REs (other then Precision and Balance of Power). I'm sitting at 876 SP, 30% Crit, 17% Spell Hit, and 178 MP5 while Casting.

@@lone13gend83 If you check my video from like two weeks ago, you will see the shadowbolt build. That stacks spirit and pretty much anyone doing shadow damage does because of Spirit Tap. And it was nerfed at least twice after it was published

Wouldn't it be better to get elemental shaman crit talent since you are running clearcasting? Or is the mage one doing anything when you don't Freeze your enemy?

The 8% damage applies to fingers of frost procs ends up winning on dps in the end

I have found it to not be worth it with this setup. A different RE setup might be worth it but right now it's up in the air for me

i would have to disagree with putting Crit rating over haste in the stat priority as with fingers of frost you gain crit Alot and with spell haste you can get more procs of fingers of frost for more said crits

You could just add in seed of corruption to make this more m+ viable. I dont know what the mana regen on this is like but you may need more to stay up on longer aoe fights.

Frostbrand weapon has huge frost spell damage bonus, why not take that and dual wield weapons? I did that on the free pick realm and it added like 200 frost spell power per weapon. I haven't done much on the new league realm but was thinking about building a melee frost boi
