OP-Z audio routing: mixer parameters, master track parameters, gain, and compression

I have discovered, If you press the mixer button quickly 3 times, the page remains active all the time, without having to hold the button down (hands-free).

Super helpful video. The OP-Z is a really tricky device in terms of gain staging. I've only recently starting using the drive control on the master page and it sounds really really good to my ear.

Yes, it's super tricky and I'm constantly learning more about it! Most recently I've started playing with the Master gain (4th/red encoder) on the Mixer index page, which I think I totally dismiss in this video. It adds some saturation and overdrive that can sound really nice, though.

Great video explaining OP-Z routing! Track levels do drive input to the mixer and master effects, so adjusting one element may affect another. I did have to get used to how its routed to get a balanced mix. Also the master level is not shown on the app so its judged by ear and after using it for so long I find the drive to be more usefull then compressor on this device.

Thank you and great point! They definitely affect each other, but I was really surprised to learn that the drum group gain doesn't affect gain on a bus but instead a group of individual gains. I totally agree that drive is the most helpful, too. Really fills out the sound.
