It’s still wild to me that people play the game and have hardly or even never seen any of the show lol I binged over 1000 episodes in under 2 months. Watched it constantly and then thought “it would be so cool if there was a card game like magic or yugioh”. Boy did I take a high dive into a deep deep rabbit hole at the end of January lmao

Pretty easy to say this guy is cheating if you are looking for a guy cheating. If you realistically look at it this guy saw a card he wasnt supposed to see and didnt see one he was supposed to see. He flips it off to make sure he sees the correct amount of cards instead of having an extra option and it is clear he intentionally didnt look at this extra card. The way it was fixed is a bit clumsy but there is no way this guy was trying to cheat

I'm here from the reddit thread, and I legitimately don't think it was cheating or intentional. I don't know the Kata player so I don't have any reason to defend him (I hate Kata and play GY Yama myself), but from what I can see at 0:58 - He played pudding that lets him search for 4 - He drew first, second, third cards - On the fourth card draw, it looks like he picked up 2 cards stuck together - Realizes it after he has the cards in hand. But at this point he saw what would've been the 5th card drawn, and NOT the 4th card since they were pulled up together instead of one at a time. - Puts both back on top of his deck. I watched this multiple times in HD, staring at the top of the deck before the 2 cards were placed back on the top of the deck. The top of the deck prior to the 2 cards did not shift, the two cards placed back at the top of the deck, were indeed the two that he accidentally picked up (instead of 1) - Since the card that he saw, was the 5th card or second one from the top now (since they were returned face down in same order). He picked up the 4th card/top card in the deck without seeing it. slid the now top card/5th card draw - the one that he actually did see when the two cards were stuck together - off of the deck and that was the 4th card searched, which is correct as that's the one he actually saw in hand. - Returned the card that he used to flick it off to the top of the deck - which he didn't see in the search. I think it really just looks sus because of the way he went about it flicking the card off and all, but from what I can tell, the 4th card in the search was indeed the card that he saw, even if it was unintentionally the 5th card from the top of the deck, rather than the 4th.

Yeaaaa i get it but that's a real generous read, after look back at it I did get a little surprised at how close it looks like he actually does put 2 down. But it really just looks like 1 on the pick up and when he does put it back down the 2nd card is not shown at the angle it's gets put down at in his hand, it very much looks like his top card just got pushed a bit

at first I thought he was cheating for sure, but after multiple watches, and reading what you posted, I'm convinced it was an accident. He did intentionally flick that card and grabbed it because he saw that one, and put down the one he didn't.

3:35, Yamato played hiyori incorrectly, you can't place a card on the bottom of life - it has to be on the top.

See I got rid of my Zoros in my deck and put 3 hody and 4 9c Yamato. I also run 12 2k counters and 7 counter event cards lol I got away from the sky island build playing on the sim before op06 even dropped.

I like hody/yamato more than Zoro despite how cheeky the zoro is, it seems like an extremely conditional card that may just be better as consistentcy

@@atrocioustcg I played 2 hody and two Zoro on the sim for a bit and when I actually did play the Zoro I was able to make some nasty game ending attacks but most of the time my 5c Yamato, kiku, hody and 9c Yamato are the main cards that’s hit my field. So I’ve been getting rid of any extra that doesn’t at least have a counter on it. With all my defense I can throw down I can afford not to have anything on the field for the first 3 or 4 turns pretty easy usually. Most I play is a 3c izou to rest a blocker or onami for banish and just swing huge with lead

Pretty sure he just got flustered. This was his first event on Kat I believe, so he’s used to top 5 searches instead of top 4. Plus with the cards flying around he probably just got mumbojumbo’ed

@@superbob94000 that's not correct though. take your deck and pick up the top 2 cards at the same time and look at just the first card you see when you turn your hand over. Now place them back on the top of your deck without reordering them. the card you saw is the 2nd from the top, not the top card. So he was right in taking the 2nd card from the top as his 4th card in the search as that's the one he saw. He just did it in a really sus way that made it look worse, but the card that he took should be the one that he saw
