This was an ad on KZbin. First ad I’ve ever seen that I was really happy to see.

I had an aluminum rig that gave a very smooth ride out at El Mirage a number of times. It had a very well calibrated digital speedometer and I got it up to 45 mph briefly. It was easy to get into the low 40's. Your face is like 2 feet off the ground so thing are flying by. I had an ice chest and a couple of burgers and beers and would just shoot off to the far side and stop for lunch. That was really neat.

What a cool experience that isn’t very common. You’d think there wouldn’t be much power with such a thin sail

There's so little resistance, that's all the sail/wing area needed! Ice versions have even LESS resistance, and can exceed 5x the wind-speed!

I wonder if you could have a whole ship in a post apocalyptic world that ran like this!

Try laminated, steam bent planks to form suspension. Pioneers used Calistoga Wagons with sails. That could get interesting.

I love the vid but I wish you wouldn’t run this as an ad, I’ve been going to the alvord and steens for years, and it’s been empty but the last couple years it has been very crowded, really takes the charm out of the place :(

What a typical Progressive POV..."I'm privileged and I WANT all my enjoyment to be more important than everyone else's becuase I'M a Progressive and I deserve it."

Ice Boats with wheels. We designed and built Ice Boats. This is a Land Boat does not quality as a Yacht. That being said, looks like fun. The record for Ice Boats is 115 knots, set in the late 1800's

An iceboat can be converted as a landjacht too Mine dose a Nite . I even did win a race ones! I prefer Landsailing not as cold and no danger to go for a cold swim in the winter . Record speed on a landjacht is 125 mph .
