The tour this performance is from just went on and on... And Roxy reformed in the middle of the year for some shows in the U.S. and Europe (I went to the show at the Pacific Amphitheater in August). Absolutely top of his game.

Yeah the Frantic tour went from 2002-2004 with a min Roxy tour thrown in as well! Fantastic times! I was only 16 when I first seen Ferry on his As Time Goes By tour in 1999. Since then been to 69 shows both solo and Roxy. Kept thinking each one would be the final chance I’d get to see him but the guy kept touring!😂

I'd say Keith Richards, Ace Frehley, David Bowie and the late Robert Palmer would be contenders, but yes I see what you mean.
@ericlindsey30693 жыл бұрын
@@euanelliott3613 Nope, Bryan takes them all hands down. Bowie and Palmer took lots from Ferry, Ferry didn't need anything from them. Keith Richards is a great cartoon. Ferry's talent covers much more of rock and pop, his lyrics better than all of them. The song stylings he conquered, far more diverse than the others. I will say this about the late Robert Palmer. He was an amazing live performer and he had a large repertoire of songs. A true pro, a performer, crowd pleaser. Saw him play a concert and give 4 encores. Then came back with his ukele and continued playing for the faudience after the band had left the stage, and after the house lights came up and the security guards were shooing everyone out of the venue. What a generous performer he was. Never met him but want to believe he was as lovely a guy in life as he was in performing.

O.P. D. Didn’t hear any of the self penned ones. Nothing off of Boys and Girls, Bete Noir, it Mamouna, not even any of the Avalon era Roxie stuff. So it seems kind of odd to me that his biggest albums would be missing but Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, Don’t Think Twice, and Jealous Guy etc. would all be the lead of tunes.
