collectors - as they did not use the car... - but these cars will run again - as opel will bve coming back to touring car sports one day - hopefully soon - in rallye sport they are quite successfull

@@noname-yo6yn there will not be OPC in Opel anytime soon, all thanks to bullshit PSA which only allows them for GSI models like Insignia B. All that not to lower sales of Peugeot, Citoren and Renault brands.

does anyone know if this car had the same engine spec as in DTM? It's crazy to me how those TOURING CARS competed with such ease with GT CARS in that 2003 24h race at Nürburgring Nordschleife. Both Audi TT-Rs and Opel Astras were very competitive and quick just as a goddamn 700hp Porsche and mighty Viper GTS-R. I guess they had better aero and power to weight ratio, but still it looks fascinating how touring cars beat up GT cars with such ease... literally a clash like CLK-GTR and McLaren F1 had in 1997 FIA GT. Crazy stuff thanks in advance if anyone can tell me if Opel Astra and Audi TT-R had the same engine spec as in DTM.

wie kann man nur.... der wagen hat das 24h-rennen gewonnen und wurde dann einfach abgestellt? so ein auto muß doch gepflegt werden. es gehört zu opel`s historie.

Die meisten 24h Siegerautos werden dreckig abgestellt. Manche versiegeln sogar den Dreck mit Klarlack!

@@gokcebilgi9220 It is heavily modified Astra G Bertone body shell where they put 4.0L V8 engine built by Spiess which produced around 460-500 hp to the rear wheels.
