Opel Corsa 1.0 Turbo (ENG) - Test Drive and Review

Opel Corsa is on the market since 1983. Corsa generations are marked with letters A, B, C... The current generation Opel Corsa is called E. For a supermini Opel offers a lot of extra equipment, which you cannot find on some higher segment models. Try heated steering wheel, and your life will never be the same. On the other hand Opel Corsa doesn't get sat nav. Instead you can use Apple Car Play and Android Auto, the latter being officially unavailable in most markets. Opel Corsa is also not a big car for its segment, so if you want a lot of car for your money, you better look elsewhere.

I love the thrum sound of those inline 3 turbos. Gloss black wheels make the tires look brown/grey though... and they just look like black steel wheels to most people.

The engine has a rocking motion end to end of it, across the car as installed, because the firing order is 1 2 3. It also has a contra-rotating balancer shaft, to correct the primary imbalance effect of two pistons going down, one up, at certain points in the cycle. Oh the things we do for the sake of efficiency!

In reality this is just a big facelift of the Corsa, which was introduced all the way back in 2005, and which shares platfrom with the Fiat Punto. I heard, that a whole new model is coming later in 2017. And looking at, how much progress Opel have made in design and weight loss with the Astra and just about to be released Insignia, maybe buyers are better off to wait for the new model.

The buttons are not “visible” which is subjective to the person cause I can see them perfectly fine!
