Hello Speedfox. This is not the climax. This engine is defenately fuel sensitive. It runs good on E95 but if you treat it with a better quality it runs faster or more economic. It is naturally aspirated and has low displacement, for a good amount of power you have to rev it propperly high. The resonator chamber in the intake manifold gives it a bit of bite at over 4000 rpm. If you overcome the little lag between 3500 and 4500 it will achieve 180 km/h easyly.

We got a 3 door with automatized gearbox as our second car. Yes downhill, tailwind and a lot of unobstrukted lane - i seen 190 km/h too. 180 on tach is good to achieve and does not feel unsave.

the corsa d is very slow when accelerating, sluggish for 80 ps the previous corsa c was better with 60 or 75hp.

@@AudiAddicted68 yes i agree. It is suprisingly not the best car for the city, more the kind of mid-range bomber. Laggy in accelleration, but once on speed it shouts out for more.

Later versions, especially 'eco' ones, have a modified gear ratio for more paperwork fuel efficency. This leads to a bad accelleration but pays out on unlimited highways.
