the colton country book sounds a lot like it was based off the october 1st las vegas shooting (or maybe im reaching) and as someone who has lived here my whole life, i hope it does it well. it sounds super interesting! i saw a lot of the uber conservative and gun toting local people i know switch to being stark gun control advocates after that shooting because they were either at the concert themselves or knew people who were and it is such an interesting perspective to write about that i havent heard of done before.
