This was a VERY good game by my usual standards - I managed a well executed open fort (guide included) game in Auto Chess Mobile into a full Feathered/Assassin composition. This comp is really good for the current meta due to the dominance of warriors/knights/assassins and the poor state that mages are in. I actually think going feathered from the start is a good plan also due to the fact very few people like to buy them + lose streaking is so powerful with Priest now.

This is a very risky tactic but I thought it would be helpful for everyone to understand how to do it! Also watch the end for some clutch end game positioning!

Honest question: Why can't you put units on the field? For example going into round 5 you're at 16 gold why can't you put a few units on the field to minimize damage you take but not win, then after the round sell whatever it takes to get to 20 gold for the next round. Then anytime your gold isn't at a threshold just invest whatever you can afford without dropping, then sell them off once the round is over.
@Excoundrel
@Excoundrel 5 жыл бұрын
@@IntrepidGamers you can but what if you accidently win vs a normal lose streaking? If you're going to put units on the field you may as well be trying to lose streak normally

I love it when you actually have a good overview summary at the beginning for the entire video. Just like when you show the entire line up composition you had on a certain game. This is quite helpful and risky haha. Well played.

Open fort is also very good in the current meta because beasts/summoners won't be able to build up mana to summon since you have no units on the board, making you lose less hp than if you were to just do a regular lose streak.

I've seen open fort mentioned on Reddit, but never had anyone explain it so well. It's a really interesting albeit risky strategy, but it's good to know that it is something that is absolutely correct to go for in certain situations.

I'm rook 4 and love lose streaking. I hate people who have nothing in their board because my lose streak will gone. But i don't know why they're doing that, and i thought that was a dumb things, also because they made my lose streak gone. But now i know the dumb was me, lol. But, your video made me learn a lot about game strategy, thanks excoundrel

Just a slight tip on R5 If theres no "summon units" (wolf/worm) on opponent boards, we can put some units on to reduce hp loss. *But ensure that we are weaker than all other boards, to continue losing*

Thanks for this guide. But for me, I open fort if I miserably lost in R4 and R5.. The rest is just like yours. Feathered(6)/Assassin(3)/Demon is the best way to do this. Or Divinity/Priest/Mage(3)/Assassin(3) is also good for lose streaking with FT. Nice guide!

I’ve never won an open fort game(around bishop 9). The highest I’ve ever gotten is 3rd place when I started getting really good rolls later on. Otherwise, I average around 5-6th place. Middling is so much easier imo and I can sometimes pull a win/2nd place just by rolling more aggressively or getting luckier when nearing the end.

Where was this video taken? I did not see any twitch stream going on... Am I miss your streams? I am following "Excoundrel" :) Overall the roll down to get for pieces was very lucky on level 7. Without this it could have been pretty bad on 36 HP. :D That's POG. But without that we could have not seen the BIGGEST BRAIN. GG.

lmao this game is literally the best game to open fort... but with the fortune teller introduced, i recommend following this video but just dropping a fortune teller on board to reduce dmg take... u will get to 50gold 1 to 2 rounds later but ur reducing a significant amount of dmg :) this vid was before the patch so maybe do another open fort and incorporate priest in to see the difference :)
