Tata Dindin Jobarteh brought his kora music to Devon in England in the 1990s. He stretched our musical minds and our dancing bodies and enriched our lives. When I heard of the death of Tai Solarin, Nigerian educationalist, social activist and author in 1994, I asked Tata to sing a song for the passing of a great man and it helped me to mourn the death of my headmaster from Mayflower School, Nigeria. I have only just heard of Tata Dindin's death and I mourn the passing of another influential West African Thank you for your soulful art Tata. You live on in your recordings, in our memories.
