@@KhairatMuhammad I would like to differ. Well knowing a person doesn't make you any advanced but knowing and applying his contribution does. Moreover, a man necessarily needs just a basic knowledge of everything. In Subcontinent the education system has devolved to such an extent that you get to know the names of such persons (like Leibniz, Laplace et al) only after you are halfway through your educational process and that too when you chose to study Mathematics. There are names which a student must be acquainted with (like Eratosthenes) who have had a major contribution in establishing mathematics in the current form.

Dear Sir, you should’ve accepted your defeat instead of playing a blame game.
