He is a legend of Carlton, Fitzroy and Brisbane and should get the formal recognition.

Lots of questions Mike missed with this football legend. The fact that he played centre-half back in the 68 GF; the thuggery of the Tigers in the early 70s; the success of Carlton in the 68-73 period and the players involved; the 73 Grand Final; the 83 season when Fitzroy should have won the flag; the 95 season when Brisbane were probably the second best team in the comp by the time the finals had come around and the change of fortunes after the amazing comeback against hawthorn during the year.

I think we're all pleasantly surprised by Wallsy with how he conducted himself in this interview. We all know him as Mr. Negative, but he's very honest. Especially when it comes to his self analysis.

Why is it that the interviewees are trying to be candid but are ALWAYS being interrupted by the narsacsistic interviewer??????

How dare Legendary premiership player and premiership coach clash with Carlton president? How about the president admit he made a big mistake sending the team over their! It was probably all for CUB (Fosters) deals at the expense of the best football club in AFL history! How about some club committee members (that includes other clubs) stop acting as if the club was there for them instead of the players! I've been a Carlton fan since 1968. Looking over the years, there have been periods where maybe success just induced a little too much of head up starfish for some! It's not just confined to Carlton. Richmond 1981/2, with Tony Jewel and what about the way they treated Tom Hafey? Collingwood were the same, how can you sack a successful coach and not take a good look at yourself, as Stephen Kernahan did in recent years? I guess another question would be: how many autocratic clubs have been as successful as the more egalitarian Hawthorn, in the last 50 years or so?
