As you remember, Jesus went into the temple and whipped folks out of the temple saying, "my house shall be called a house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves."

This is true but tye tribbett was not comparing the world to the church. He was talking strictly about the structure of the church. I think a lot of people are mad because maybe they have ties to the church structure like maybe they're in leadership? And maybe they feel offended? I don't know. All I know is from what I heard and I watched the whole interview. He was talking about the structure, the institution of the church, not the church itself which is the remnant, the people.

There are so many people (Christians) who think that they are saying so much and being so real for the Lord about chastising and publicly ridiculing the Church and followers. Tye actually said you can't Iive without Christ. He said we do have a responsibility to live a certain way just as , he said, Obama was President but you never saw him outside of that posture. Not to mention he prayed at the end. I agree that we must be wise of the tricks of the enemy. I also thought the interview was good. It does challenge the church as to how we will reach the generation of today. As Tye said, a lot of people believe in christ culture but they don't believe in the spirit of Christ and he said you can't know Christ without His spirit.

Can you have church without a place of worship, sure but no matter where you go to invite God in will still be the church or institution, which is a structure of rules that God created for His church. The education is a part of what God created which is why we have a book to read, study, learn and in Prov 4:7 with all thy getting, get an understanding. If Ty wants to call the systems of church wack, then he needs to include himself in that because he is still a part of the institution if he plans on having, building, worshipping, praising, teaching, and preaching the Word of God were people will be.

I listen to you Bishop and agree with a lot of what you preach, but defending Tye but the church has lost its way which hurts those that are doing what thus saith the Lord. Many Churches were exposed during the pandemic. We’ve allowed the world to shape the church community and many leaders are failing the people.

I watched the entire 50 minute interview with Tye Tribbett. I don’t agree with Pastor Woden’s rebuke. Tye was address real issues that Christians struggle with like mental health, pride, reliance on the HS. Christians are REAL people and should be allowed to express their pain or difficulties. Wooden would rather pretend as if Christians and the church are perfect. And then he wants to shame folks bringing up relevant points.

He went on a worldly stage to talk about church when none of those people are in church serving in ministry, nor do they know what it takes to work, volunteer, be a leader, or a servant. Yes he has benefited from it because he’s a gospel artist and it’s a business. But, he still has something to lost by saying all of this. Tye Tribbett is a good man who loves the Lord and is filled with the Spirit. He doesn’t deserve to be treated like a false prophet. It troubles me that Bishop Wooten is always putting down prominent Christians (and seemingly only BLACK prominent Christians). The only people mad are those that haven’t listen to the whole thing or got your toes stepped on bc you are the people he is talking about. The sad thing is the “world” sees that too many of us (Christians) are playing with God. The saddest thing is that the REAL CHURCH won’t address the “church” the way they need to be. The real church is where Kingdom minded people can be identified. We get it.

He is literally doing the same thing Tye did except he is using this platform which is supposed to be the sacred desk and the house of prayer. This is God's standard and He places people in position and places to make a difference in the lives of those that we have the opportunity to influence. I saw a snippet of Tye on there saying that and I must say that I was extremely surprised and disappointed. I say this because he was one of the few that I thought that went hard for God and really showed an amazing amount of reverence towards him. He had the perfect opportunity to bring Christ to the world but he ruined it. Even if he comes back and apologize how credible is he going to be? I’m with you Sir he needs to repent immediately!!

Without question, there are many issues and systemic problems in the church that need addressing and correcting. However, there are many churches and leaders that have been called, appointed and anointed with God's stamp of approval. With that being said we would do well to not expect perfection from anyone 'with skin on'. More Grace
