Hello... I often have a very difficult time understanding the English from India/Hindi accent but, This guy with circuit Valley is freaking awesome! It's like he somehow found a way to articulate extremely complex instructions in the most efficient way possible... Then, He pipes that information directly into the cerebral cortex of my inferior brain with near-perfect accuracy and minimal error correction... I think that the only way to improve his information delivery would be a VULCAN MIND MELD from Star Treks SPOCK.... *(However, the Vulcan mind meld process can be very dangerous...) In any case.... 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖 LIVE LONG AND PROSPER! Thanks for the Great content!

Yeah I know!!! See my post I just made saying that his information delivery is near perfect. he somehow articulates and condenses everything in the most efficient means possible. the only thing better would be a Vulcan mind meld! 😂😂🤪🖖🖖🖖

Hi , this is a very good and detailed project. You have motivated me to try such project. Im trying to read the dsi data by an osilloscope. what model and spec oscilloscope did you use in this video. I have a 100mhz Rigol. would that suffice? The lane speed of the dsi im trying to read is around 940mbps.

Thanks for the great project @CircuitValley. I also saw your other projects such as the CSI2 receiver project and the industrial camera (CSI2) project as well. Question: do you have any idea if MachX03 is capable of doing CSI2-Rx and DSI-Tx at the same time? meaning would Macx03 is capable of interface to a csi2 camera, decode and demosiac/debayer, then send to a DSI display?

this was nice video explaining about DSI interface. Appreciate your hard work. it is not easy to work with something that is not documented well or closed source. But I have one Question remaining. is this mipi DSI interface standard to all displays regardless of display driver used in LCD module? if that is true it means this driver board will be able to drive any MIPI DSi compatible display regardless of driver IC inside LCD module ( Assuming correct pins are connected ) . Right? I have few display panels laying around with 480x800 resolution panels they are MIPI DSI-2 (2 data lines) panels. i want to know if it is possible to drive these panels with this FPGA board.

Yes , Every display that support MIPI implement subset of the MIPI protocol and commands will be same. You naturally have to adjust for resolution and number of lanes. And said they implement a subset so not ever command or feature or pixel format will be supported. Making silicon is hard, so there are only a few MIPI display controller manufacturer best way to get info what your display can is to find a datasheet of display with similar size and resolution. websites like panelook may help.

@@circuitvalley thanks for your kind reply. i actually managed to get service manuals of these two devices i have. now i know the pinouts but still not sure about controllers used in LCD displays. one more Question. the FPGA you are using it is quite expensive are there any cheaper alternatives for replicating your work?
@circuitvalley3 жыл бұрын
@@muhammadshahzaib3813 FPGA are almost never cheap, This particular board cost just ~22 USD. Most likely cheapest FPGA board of it's size. You may getaway by using some CPLD, CPLDs cost even less than FPGA. or Taking some old generation of FPGA may also help.

@@circuitvalley i just looked up at aliexpress.com and it was not cheap at least 40 or 50 USD. In this price i can get hdmi board. Where i can get this board ? Do they deliver international.i am from pakistan things like this are not easily available here.

Sir, If I have HDMI to 50 Pin MIPI Display driver board, can this 50 pin board run a 40 pin MIPI Display? What I want to do is to buy a single Driver board for 50, 40, 25 pins MIPI display because I have lots of dead phones with 5" to 10" display and I want to use these displays for DIY. If there is any single driver board which may run all displays or most of them, please suggest it too. Thanks...

As long as Correct mipi pins are connected it will work. Drivers for different MIPI displays are same.
