Honestly it's amazing that none of these trains derail and/or get stuck, considering the absolutely awful state those tracks are in. The must be very old and never get replaced or even re-aligned/fixed. Kinda impressive, actually. These people are obviously hard workers who just make do with what they can get and still get on with the job in hand and make do in life. Have to admire them for that.

@@Gavsta40 - At 6:32 he explains that the rails are mobile rails for the sugar cane fields during harvest, to connect to the main line. So these rails are for temporary use, for specific locations. Not meant to replace the exciting main track.

While such temporary rails are important for carrying harvested sugarcane from part of plantation that is far from the permanently-laid rails, strict weight restriction for temporary rails prohibits regular-sized locomotives to run on it, hence it became the reason why only small diesels (especially those built by Schöma) allowed to pull freight cars loaded with sugarcane directly from the sugarcane field (beside utilizing water buffaloes to perform similar tasks).

Get a Unimog. They can pull trains on rails and you can add tools to clear the rails.

No need.. this is a plantation train, not a passenger train. if the passenger trains here are very very good. additional equipment actually makes a mess because the track is uneven. Our lead units are generally 435,000 pounds (or 410,000). We would not attempt to move over that, even with the weight. I remember we made a shove move and the car went over some "dust" at an industry. That car had to stay there for weeks until the industry removed the debris off the rails.
