Can you recommend a comprehensive course or tutorial for learning the basics of Blender Bonsai? For example, I’m an advanced Blender user, using it daily for the past 3-4 years, and I work in architecture. What’s holding me back from trying Bonsai is the lack of quality learning materials. I’ve watched a few videos that demonstrate creating simple objects with flat roofs. However, I’d love to see a video that covers the creation of complex roof structures, including the layout of rafters, roof beams, insulation, etc. In your opinion, can Blender Bonsai be a useful tool for creating technical documentation required by authorities for obtaining building permits? Is Bonsai suitable for real architectural projects, or is it more geared toward conceptual designs?

Hi, thanks for your detailed reply. I know more users who use Bonsai as their only authoring tool, for similar purposes with yours, so yes it is possible. there is no other training for this except the Bonsai Bootcamp that I'm offering. If you're interested in finding out more about it, send me an email or a DM on LinkedIn. petru @ bimvoice . com

Thanks, i have a general question about ifc/blender. contexte : i'm a 3d artist who try to switch from revit/max to revit/blender, sometime i start to edit a project (textruing, modeling ...) and the architect resend me a new ifc of the project, so i restart my 3d scene from scratch but it's not verry efficient. Question : is there a way to start working on the first ifc (edit mode friendly) and reload the updated version withou missing all the 3d work i did ? I just started my jouney with ifc and i'm still a bit confused about how to use it like i use rvt in my archviz workflow.

Did you try linking the new models? Are you converting the IFC models immediately into blender ones?

@@BIMvoice I tried 3 differents approachs : 1. File > Open IFC project > project infos > switch the directory to B and can't find a "reload project" button (something like the bridge beteween revit/max) 2. File > import ifc (only geometry) and can't find any reload section (it's like working in fbx in the case ?). 3. On my blender scene > link IFC : non editable ifc A appaear, then i can add B on my scene but it don't refresh A with B informations and don't understand how to turn it as editable 3d mesh. i teid to read a bit of the documentation but i probably need a deeper understanding of bim to find a way to work with bonsai. Maybe have an ifc-A and ifc-B is a problem too... still confused but still trying to find a way.
