Hi. I am using snappyHex to create mesh out of my stl surfaces. How can i keep the all bodies (you know snappy removes)? I tried as Tobias showed but still removes the bodies. Thanks.

Hi, nice video, thank you. I have a question, can we add cells outside of blockMesh using toposet ? Or it must be inside blockMesh ?

Its a nice video and very helpful. Thanks for this. Could you please also explain how the bounding box dimensions are given? I don't understand only 2 points given in the box but the box has more number of points!!.

What should be the name while using the invert command if multiple zones are already defined with different names, and I want to invert the last third zone?

Respected Sir, I want to use pisoFoam and laplacianFoam for fluid and solid region respectively. Can you please suggest the possible ways?

Hello, thanks for the video I have a conjugate heat transfer problem, few electronic components being cooled directly by a fluid (immersion method of cooling) and i am using OpenFoam for this. I am using toposet to identify different solid components inside the background mesh. Since some of the components are very thin (like a solder layer 0.1mm thick), i have to use a blockmesh with very high number of elements in each of the three axis. If the background mesh is not fine enough, toposet is unable to extract these thin solid components. I have to play with the backgroud blockmesh so as the toposet identifies all the solid cellZones successfully. Of course i can use snappy, but i do not think so i can get the same quality hexa mesh as given by blockMesh. Any idea how to make sure that toposet identifies a particular cellZone successfully without using hit and trial with background blockMesh? thanks

This was informative but you have not discussed action clear and delete; I am trying to understand the difference between actions clear and delete? I shall be grateful for guidance

Amazing video, i understand the way of creating the cell zones, but what is not clear for me is how to determine the boxes. Could you please help me in this? thanks!

to specify the box, you provide min and max values for x y and z. The openfoam wiki has a general formula, and the multifoam dam break case has a good example. If you'd like to see it in action, you can look at Joszef Nagy's multifoam tutorial Part One. Good luck!

He also has an example here with "box (xmin ymin zmin) (xmax ymax zmax)".

dude foam foam dude Plase, which real geometry is just like that in industry? Why anybody does this analysis??????????????? This topology is extremely unnecessary, I think.
